Zoe’s Foods is TOTALLY awesome! They sent me amazing super sampler of their granola and energy bars to review. I received 3 flavors of granola and 4 Zoe’s energy bars. Such an awesome treat. Zoe’s Foods are:
-
100% DV Omega 3s
-
High in Fiber
-
Rich in Protein
-
Full of Whole Grains
-
100% Natural
Zoe’s Granolas contain no cholesterol, are low in saturated fat and sodium, and are wheat and dairy free. In each serving of the three types of granola there is 7 grams of fiber, 7-8 grams of protein and ground flaxseed. There are also no trans fatty acids.
First up is the Cranberries Currants Granola. I really liked this one. I am such a fan of cranberries. It had the crunchy flavor from the granola, and the sweet/fruity flavor from the cranberries and currants. I enjoyed mine with yogurt and it was simply delightful!
Next Up is Honey Almond Granola. This was my favorite. I loved the burst of honey flavor along with the sliced almonds. That is always a classic mixture I can always enjoy, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you name it. I loved this mix!
Last for the granola is the Cinnamon Raisin. This was my least favorite. I am just not the biggest fan of cinnamon with my granola. I am not sure why. I enjoyed the raisin aspect, and it was good, but just not my cup of tea. I liked the other two better.
Zoe’s Bars are all natural and have no trans fatty acids, hydrogenated oils, or high fructose corn syrup. Like the granola, they are low sodium, wheat free, and have a terrific nutritional profile. Zoe’s Bars with ground flaxseed and soy provide 100% daily value of ALA omega-3, 18% daily value of fiber, and 8 grams of protein—all important for good nutrition.
Peanut Butter Paradise Bar: This was a really great bar for my peanut butter craving. It wasn’t overwhelming with the flavor, but it wasn’t subtle either. I liked the texture of the bars as well, not too crunchy, because I hate when the bars fall apart and you feel like you have to break a tooth biting into it, but not too chewy either. It was good.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss: I enjoyed this bar during my recent trip to Great Falls Park. It was a great bar to have in my pack and bust out mid-hike for energy. I am a HUGE fan of the chocolate/peanut butter mix. So this was one of my favorite bars. The peanut putter bar is dipped in chocolate! Yum!
Heavenly Apple: Out of the four, this was my least favorite bar. Like the cinnamon in my granola, I am just not an apple in my bar kind of girl. It was good, but just my least favorite out of the four.
Chocolate Delight: Double chocolate…need I say more? There was a definite yum factor going on here!
