Today I am heading up to NYC to spend the weekend with kAteMonster before the NYC Half Marathon. I am so excited to spend the weekend up in NYC. I always have SO much fun with KM. I decided to switch up my green monster this morning in honor of my exciting weekend coming up!
Today’s green monster included: 3-4 cups of spinach, 1 banana, 1 peach, handful of blueberries, slice of ginger, flax seeds and chia seeds. YUM! The peaches and berries gave it the perfect summer flavor!
A perfect way to start EVERY morning!
I always have such issues packing. I really only needed my clothes for running the race. Everything else is pretty much extra. I did manage to fill up my weekend bag, along with another bag. There is ALWAYS something I forget to pack last minute, and feel like I will need it at some point during my weekend away! Jackson helped!
I brought the essentials: my Gracie’s gear top, skirt goddess running skirt, recovery socks, Zensah running sleeves, Garmin, Road ID and some other running necessities! Lots to pack when running 13 miles!
I also packed a little lululemon bag full of goodies to snack on during the weekend and for pre-race. I love how everything comes in such cute little sample sizes. Its so much easier to travel that way!
Next time I will be blogging, I shall be in the Big Apple! I hope everyone has a great weekend at the Healthy Living Summit in Boston. I can’t wait to read all about it!
