Happy Labor Day to ALL!
I started off this lovely morning with a green monster. Don’t you just love GM’s served in beer glasses?! I know I do! I needed fuel for a big bike ride boyf and I were planning on.
Since my nice point and shoot camera is in the shop, I had to bust out my old camera. This dude is struggling to survive! It won’t zoom and it’s pictures are not the greatest, but it will have to do for the next few weeks while my other one gets fixed!
Check out boyf’s new ride!
It was so nice having a bike buddy! I love that we can go on fun rides together now! My next goal is to get boyf running with me!!
We biked down West River Drive. On weekends and holidays, they close the roads to cars and its open to bikers and runners. It’s so nice having the whole road open to us!
Boyf and I biked to the Japanese House and Garden in Fairmount Park. It was beautiful out there!
Meet one of the MANY coy fish.
Blowing kisses to a statue.
“The Japanese House was designed by Yoshimura Junzoo, built in 1953 in Nagoya, and presented by the America-Japan Society of Tokyo to the Museum of Modern Art New York for exhibition in 1954-55. It was given to the City of Philadelphia and reassembled at the current site in 1958, with a garden designed by Sano Tansai.”
This is the bathroom: 2 toilets and a bath
The roofs were a foot thick and made of bark.
I heart the bonsai trees!
After we got our historical fix for the day, boyf and I headed over to Main Street Manayunk on our bikes and hit up Derek’s. They have a fabulous brunch deal with all you can drink bloody mary’s and mimosas! Perfect for post biking all morning!
First they brought out some lovely seasoned bread slices along with some cornbread. YUM!
I had the smoked chicken breast and monterey jack cheese omlette with chipotle-pico de gallo, roasted potatoes & fresh fruit
You can insert your own caption for this picture!
On the way back, check out what we saw in a dog store! Michael Vick chew toys! Muahaha! I love it!
Happy Labor Day to ALLLLL!

Looks like you guys had a nice morning and now I'm craving mimosas.
(and I need that chew toy for my dogs!)
omg your breakfast looks amazing. I keep trying to recruit my bf to rent a tandem bike and ride with me. He's told me flat out NO at least 10x. But I'm persistent. Looks like fun.
