I haven’t posted the past two days because I have been sick all weekend. It has not been fun. I haven’t even had the strength to post, or read blogs online, that’s how bad I felt! I am not sure if it was food poisoning or just a little 48-hour bug or what. I iT still not 100% so I am taking it easy today.
On to the Rascal Flatts concert recap – I can describe it in one word: RAIN!
It rained ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT on Friday. I will be honest with you, and tell you that this is not my first time seeing Rascal Flatts in the rain. I feel like almost EVERYTIME I go see them it rains! It rained last year, and I think it rained the year before. Maybe next year it will not rain, fingers crossed!
Boyf and I did a little pre-gaming in the car since we didn’t really want to stand out in the rain any longer than we have to. I had a mini bottle of wine and represented the Rascal Flatts concert from 2 years ago (i think) when they did the Me & My Gang Tour with my t-shirt!
Boyf brought a little flask. We did some classy pre-gaming in the car! People had beer bong tables and other games set up in the parking lot, and everyone was just partying up a storm. I love country concerts and country music fans. It’s one big happy family!
Cheers! Flask and mini wine bottle cheers!
I guess you take a gamble with the weather when you get lawn seats to a concert. I knew during the afternoon on Friday that I was going to be watching the concert from a pile of mud! At least boyf and I have these awesome lawn/beach chairs to sit in!
Boyf and I also rocked our North Face raincoats. Without them we would have frozen!
Even though it rained the ENTIRE time, we still had a lot of fun.
Since my nice Canon is still in the shop, I only had my crappy camera with me, and it didn’t take very fabulous pictures of the stage. Darius Rucker, who is Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish, opened the show, and he was awesome. He has a lot of good new songs and he played some Hootie and the Blowfish classics!
Rascal Flatts played all the fabulous songs. They played all old and new and a few slow, but mostly fast songs. It was just a great concert. I was singing and dancing the whole time.
Boyf also surprised me when we got in the car with a t-shirt from the concert. I was so surprised! I love it! Check it out. Thanks boyf!
So that is my little recap from Friday night. Now that I think about it, I probably got sick from being out in the rain all night! Regardless, it was another FABULOUS Rascal Flatts concert.
Stay Tuned for my Apartment Tour!
