Today is fiancé’s birthday! He is the big 2-6! We celebrated his birthday yesterday with lots of fun activities. We started by opening presents. I got him an authentic Phillies jersey! The timing couldn’t be more perfect because they are in the World Series again starting Wednesday! Hopefully fiancé wearing the shirt will bring the team luck and they will win again this year!
Two thumbs up for Utley! <there were LOTS of thumbs up last night, stay tuned for ALL of them>
I also got him this book he asked for – The Inheritance of Rome. Nerd alert! haha. JK! This book is MASSIVE!
Cheers to 26 years! We enjoyed a glass of wine before we headed out for the evening.
I had a town car pick us up and take us to dinner in the city. We were riding in style! Thumbs up #2!
I surprised fiancé by taking him to Chima – A Brazilian Steakhouse.
We got there and ordered some drinks. He got some Brazilian wine and I got a Chardonnay.
Then they brought out appetizers and side dishes. Cheese bread, some meat ball things and butter. The bread was AWESOME. On the side was mashed potatoes, fried bananas and polentas.
Since Chima is an all you can eat Brazillian Steakhouse, there is really no menu. There is the salad bar, and then there is the meat. You get a little token and when you want more food, turn it to Yes, Please and people bring you different meats to choose from. When you want to take a break, turn it to No, Thank you.
Since I don’t eat that much meat (or food in general) I opted to just have the salad bar. It was massive and had TONS of choices. The salad bar option also comes with salmon.
My plate, filled with lots of good fruits and veggies.
The boys didn’t have time for the salad bar, they went straight for the good stuff. There were 15 different choices for them – steak, filet, lamb, chicken, salmon, sausage and lots more. The meats were carried around on these sword things and they sliced off however much you wanted! Fiancé and his friend were LOVING this.
The sword thing was pretty entertaining. When the guys had there “Yes Please” token turned over, they were bombarded with tons of different meat selection. I think they were even a little overwhelmed at first!
Fiancé’s plate – chock full of meat!
The boys, enjoying their Manly Meal!
My salmon was really good, and so was the fried banana!
Cheers to the birthday boy!
Of course I had the restaurant sing to fiancé for his birthday! Thumbs up for that too! #3!
Birthday tiramisu! Yum!
Make a wish!
After dinner more drinks were had! It was a celebration for sure. I was having fun with my “Yes, Please” token.
Fiancé’s friend, Spicer joined us for dinner. We had a blast!
After dinner my original plans were to meet fiancé’s friends out and go bowling and then go to the Mr. Greengenes concert, but dinner took longer than expected, and we just hung out for a bit and enjoyed our drinks. The boys were possibly too full to move!
Then after a bit we headed down to the Field House to see my favorite cover band – Mr. Greengenes!
I love this band. They are so entertaining, so fun to watch, fiancé and I go and see them whenever we can.
Is that another thumbs up I spy??
Mr. Greengenes is from Philly, so they are rooting for the Phils too!
Fun was had by all last night!
I invited some of fiancé’s friends to come meet up with us for the concert! It was nice everyone could get together!
And then I think things got a little blurry for some of the boys!
Last night was great! I am so happy fiancé (and everyone) had a good time. I can’t think of a better reason to celebrate!
Happy Birthday Fiancé! I love you!
