After Jackson’s Howl-O-Ween Party, fiancé and I realized we were starving for some dinner! We didn’t have much time to spare before game time, so we had to make something, quick, easy and delicious!
I received an awesome package from Applegate Farms today with a bunch of difference chicken and turkey sausages to test out. I am sure many of them will make their way into my meals for the next few days, so stay tuned.
Tonight we decided to open up the Applegate Farms Certified Organic Fire Roasted Red Pepper fully cooked chicken and turkey skinless sausage for dinner. They had me at “Fire Roasted!”
I really like the Applegate Farms philosophy on food. They strive to ‘operate with truthfulness and integrity on how they treat their animals and their land.’’ I have found myself shying away from meats recently because of just that issue. Its nice to be able to pick something up at the store and believe in what you eat.
I added some green peppers, onions and carrots to the mix to get some veggies in there and give the mix a nice crunch!
I was also sent an awesome package from Dei Fratelli the other day as well, and decided to pair their Homestyle Sauce with my sausage mixture tonight. I love me a good pasta sauce! This sauce is “family recipe that captures the true tomato flavor of freshly crushed a vine-ripened tomatoes carefully blended with spices and a dash of Romano cheese.” YUM YUM!
Lots of multi-tasking going on making this meal tonight!
All together now.
Post shredded parmesan cheese.
Oh man. This meal was SO GOOD. The sausage and the sauce were so tasty. I wish I had made double the amount for leftovers! Sadly there are none. Tear. Is it bad I just finished eating and am already legitimately sad there is no leftovers??
Post mixing it all together. This meal SHALL be made again! SOON!
I enjoyed a nice glass of red wine in my pretty flower wine glass with dinner. I have developed a HARDCORE love for red recently. It’s love
And after dinner I enjoyed a nice bowl of pumpkin ice cream! Complete with chocolate morsels and coconut shavings. The coconut and the pumpkin and chocolate combo was seriously genius! It was SO yummy!
Drool. If I wasn’t already so full, I would go back for seconds!
It has been a pretty great Wednesday night! Full of good times with friends, good food, and lots of doggies! Jackson is super tired. He has been passed out on the floor since we came in. I decided to join him
I love this little dog.
