**Merry Christmas! I am currently en route to Virginia to spend the weekend with my family. I hope everyone is having a fabulous holiday with loved ones! **
Fiancé and I decided to exchange presents Wednesday night since we were going to be with his family all day Thursday and then traveling to Virginia all day Friday. I think the real reason we exchanged early was to spread out our days of presents!
This year, fiancé and I decided to put a limit on our gift giving to each other. We spent a lot of money on our gifts to our parents, which was tickets to see the Radio City Rockettes and dinner. I also have a tendency to go overboard with gifts, so it was nice to have a budget. I didn’t stick to our little budget, neither did fiancé, but we stayed in that realm.
I got lots of reading to do from Fiancé! He got me these awesome photography books to help me with my SLR. I am really interested in photography and want to learn how to use my SLR to the best of my abilities. I would love to take a class one day! He also got me this awesome flexpod for my point and shoot. That’s going to be so much fun to play with for pictures for the blog!
He also got me Mastering the Art of French Cooking Vol. 1 & 2. We recently watched Julie & Julia together on Netflix and I totally loved it. I am so inspired to learn how to cook a wider variety of things! I am excited to see what these cookbooks have to offer!
He also got me a rolling pin since I was in dire need of it the other day. I feel like a real cook in the kitchen now!
As you may know, I am an avid reader. School has recently pushed my pleasure reading to the wayside, but I am hoping to finish a book or two during my vacation. Fiancé also got me Pride and Prejudice AND Price & Prejudice & Zombies. I have never read the classic and the new version has gotten some good reviews! They have both been on my swaptree list and I am excited to read them both!
I plan to read the original first! Have you ever read either of these?
Books, books and cookbooks! I have lots of reading to do! I am so happy that fiancé hit all my favorite things: Cooking, Photography and pleasure reading! I love them all!
I got fiancé a few things but the main gift was I got him a private lesson at the Philadelphia Archery & Gun Club. He has always said he wanted to learn how to fire a gun, and now he’s going to learn how. I think he really liked it, he was pretty excited about firing a weapon!
I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays! I will be back later with a Christmas in Virginia post!
