After my final on Thursday morning, I had some time to kill before my train ride up to NYC. I went over to Sabrina’s apartment for a little lunch and an arts & crafts date! She always has something fun planned for whenever I come over!
Today on the agenda was chocolate covered pretzels! Our toppings included heath bar crunch and candy canes!
First Sabrina melted some chocolate and we drizzled it all over our pile of pretzels. I seriously had to old back eating them all right then and there. Chocolate + pretzels = a serious weakness of mine.
Drizzling the chocolate was fun, but hard work. Is it sad that my arms hurt a little after a few minutes of drizzling?? I need to add more arm strengthening workouts to my gym routine!
Then we sprinkled the toppings all over the chocolate covered goodness, all the while taking lots of pictures (for the blogs, obvi!)
Candy cane and Heath bar toppings galore!
They were so pretty to look at all covered in glorious chocolate and toppings. I split my pile of pretzels in 3 sections – one for the heath bar, one for the candy cane and one for just plain chocolate!
I must admit the peppermint topping was my favorite. I love the minty flavoring combined with the chocolate. Perfection!
It was hard not to eat them all while they were drying, but I stayed strong and waited for the drying process to finish.
Ok, but I DID add a little more chocolate to my plain chocolate pretzels. When in Rome??
Like I said, the candy cane ones were my favorites! I think they were also the prettiest!
The heath bar ones and plain ones tied for second place!
We packaged up the pretzels in cute little bags and tied them up with a pretty red bow. I love arts and crafts time with Sabrina!
I got all the reject pretzels in a plain old Ziploc bag and ate them on the train ride up to NYC. They were a fabulous little snack attack!
Sabrina also was awesome enough to pick me up a special treat at the store the other day. Lots of Celestial Tea! Horray!
She knew that I was on the hunt for some of the Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea that everyone in the blogworld has been talking about, and she was nice enough to pick me up a few other flavors to try!
Sugar Plum Spice, Nutcracker Sweet, Candy Cane Lane, and the coveted Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride! I am so excited to try them all out for myself! Thanks Sabrina, you are the best!
She also was nice enough to make me my own little candy cane chocolate covered pretzel rods. She even tied them up in a cute little bow! I love it! Check out how Sabrina make’s the chocolate covered pretzel rods here.

How fun! I love food-related arts & crafts time. 🙂
I love the variety of the pretzels! They look great and I am sure everyone will enjoy them.
I am drooling! Love a good art & crafts sesh! Especially when it involves chocolate goodies!
All the pretzels look delicious.
What a fun project and such an easy gift, but one that will most likely be well-received. I'll have to add homemade chocolate-covered pretzels to my mental things I'd like to do list.
