Peppermint Martini’s

***I am currently in NYC having a fabulous time with my friend at a show for the evening. Expect a full recap in the morning***

In the mean time, don’t forget to enter my Dr. McDougall’s Giveaway. I am sort of in love with the place setting they sent me. I love the soups, love the placemat, napkin, napkin ring and that big beautiful bowl! Enter to win!

I wanted to share the secrets to my peppermint martinis at my party the other night. But in order to share my secrets, I have to share the origins of my findings. Last Saturday, Sabrina and I went out and had a little Christmas shopping fun together. I vowed to shop for others, but there were just so many fabulous sales, I found lots of fun things for myself! Crate and Barrel makes me very happy!

I got some Peppermint Martini mix, Peppermint Rimming sugar,  this adorable plate and some mini spoons. I totally held myself back! I got the peppermint martini mix for my party and the spoons and plates for myself! Seemed like an even trade to me!

I must admit that when I order fancy cocktails at restaurants I always hope that it comes with sugar on the rim! It’s one of my favorite indulgences! So obviously when I got the Peppermint Martini mix, I had to get the rimming sugar that goes with it!

Sugar on the rim makes every cocktail fabulous!

1 part peppermint martini mix, 2 parts vodka + sugar on the rim = the perfect Christmas cocktail

I love a pretty cocktail and that peppermint martini is pretty. My favorite cocktail, holiday time or not, is an amaretto sour but they're so sweet I can only have one (which can be a blessing in disguise).
