Another manic Monday has come and gone! My day was filled with lots and lots of laundry, cleaning the apartment, a trip to the vet (don’t worry, Jackson’s ok!) and a visit to the doctor for me. Jackson had a little rash/allergic reaction. He had to get his tummy shaved and a little shot, he was a brave little solider though!
Before I got into all the details about the rest of my trip, I wanted to share with everyone some information about the ship I was on. This was my first experience with Celebrity Cruises. All my other cruises before have been on Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) and one on Carnival Cruise Line.
Our ship was the Celebrity Constellation
Holy Ship! This bad boy is massive! It’s 91,000 tons of glory. It holds 2,034 people and has 11 decks.
Cruise ships these days are truly living cities on the sea. They are hugely massive!
We were on the eighth floor of the ship. When you first walked in our door there was a bit of a private walkway/hallway to walk down before entering the room.
Right in front of the hallway was a set of awesome closets. I haven’t had big closets like these before, so they came in handy!
Usually our rooms in past cruises have been quite small. There are 4 of us staying in one room and usually I sleep in a bed that folds out of the ceiling or the wall! Not this time. I am not sure if we won the cruise ship lottery or something, but we got an awesome room!
My parents stayed in this room.
It was quite spacious.
To the left of the bed is the bathroom.
The bathroom was pretty small, just like it has been on every other ship I’ve been on. It has all the necessities though!
The surprise was that there was a separate living room area. My brother slept on one couch and I slept on the other. The green couch pulled out and it was very roomy, all things considered.
The absolute best past about this room was the kick ass balcony!
Oh wait, here is the room looking in from the balcony.
Let’s go outside, shall we?
I had a tear go down my eye when I first stepped foot outside. It was so beautiful and such an amazing surprise! There were lounge chairs and a nice table for us to sit out. It made the balcony and little sanctuary for us.
The other balconies in the back of the ship. We made friends with the people above, below and next to us. We all searched for dolphins and whales together.
I was so excited to be able to sit out on the balcony for when we were to go through the Panama Canal. That was going to be awesome!
I LOVED this balcony. It was a total perk.
If you have any questions about cruising, please let me know! I’m not an expert by any means, but I would love to share my experiences and answer any questions you may have if you are thinking about planning a cruise in the future.
Stay tuned for our first port of call : Columbia
**Side note – We seriously never stay in a room this nice. Every other trip I have been on with my family, the four of us have been squished in one room like sardines. To me, when cruising the room really isn’t that important to me because you spend so little time in it in the scheme of the whole trip. All the rooms are nice, but we just totally lucked out getting the room we got!**

That is an awesome room and balcony! Total jackpot!
My family and I took a Celebrity Cruise to Alaska years ago. It was an amazing trip. I love Celebrity Cruises, although our room was a sardine room.
Can't wait to see more pictures of your trip.
