Remember last month when I went on my 2 week cruise? Well I still have so much to share with you! I can’t believe it was a month ago! So I figured – what better way to spend a Friday that reminiscing about my time in warmer weather?!
So far I have shared with you what my stateroom looked like, my tour in Cartagena, Columbia, what my day was like cruising through the Panama Canal and how I skywalked the forest in Costa Rica!
It was a busy 2 weeks! Next up on our trip was Hualtuco, Mexico!
Hualtuco (pronounced wah-TOOL-co) is Mexico’s best kept secret. It has small town charm with tons of beauty and the comfort of a major resort. The coastline here is shock full of beaches, bays, coves and beautiful rocky shores.
In the early 16th century, Huatulco became a favorite spot for Spanish merchants and colonists, supporting growth along the Pacific Coast.
There was talk of turning this small town into an area similar to Cancun, but much of the rainforest and shorelines are protected by the wildlife federation. I am excited that not much change will come to this little area, because it was so peaceful.
Huatulco has soft white sand and shimmering turquoise water. It’s amazing how the water color changes from place to place from the greenest green to the bluest blue. They are all so beautiful, but here in Huatulco the water is just divine.
Huatulco has 9 bays and more than 3 dozen beaches.
We went snorkeling in 2 of the 9 bays. Check out my sexy snorkeling gear! Ow Ow!
The snorkeling was nice, but it wasn’t the BEST I have ever seen.
There I go, diving down low. My mom got a sweet shot of my flippers!
Do you snorkel? What’s your favorite water or beach activity?
It was nice to cruise around the bays and see the shoreline.
After a long day out on the bays, when the family and I got back on board our cruise ship, it was time for a much deserved margarita!
Reminiscing about my trip in the warmer weather makes the cold around here in Philadelphia seem a little more bearable today!
But man! I could sure go for a nice margarita in the sun right about now! How about you?
