Cold Point Pub at Whole Foods Market, Plymouth Meeting, PA

I knew that a massive Whole Foods Market was opening a few miles from me, but I didn’t know it was going to be as massive as it is! Every Whole Foods I have ever been in has thoroughly surprised me, but this one knocked my socks off!

It has everything your standard Whole Foods has, but MORE! So much more. I specifically wanted to focus this post on the Cold Point Pub that is there.

Have you ever been to a Whole Foods with a pub?

March 070

I think I died and went to heaven when I opened the doors to the pub. It’s located right inside the front entrance of Whole Foods, but I don’t think people walking by actually realize what it is!

To me, it was kind of a little slice of heaven!

March 076

I am pretty sure I need a Whole Foods Beer growler in my life, RIGHT NOW!! I am also pretty sure you probably need one too!

In true pub fashion, CPP has a variety of small and large plate options to order. Or you can always just step outside a few feet and pick something up from the hot/cold bars which (I believe) Whole Foods is partly famous for!

If you aren’t in the mood for a brew, maybe some wine from around the world is more up your alley!

March 074

When I was there, CPP featured wines from France, Italy and Austria!

What are you are looking at in the pictures above and below is the awesome wine bar which is there as well. You put however much money you want to spend on a card, and insert that card under which wine you would like and out comes the vino!

You can try as much or as little as you like! So fun!

March 081

Fiancé and I were in the mood to samples some of the beers on tap.

 March 083

We got to try 6 different brews!

March 084March 086

So pretty from dark to light!

March 085

I was very excited about the pretty presentation of the sampler.

March 087March 089

I was in beer sampling heaven!

March 094

Aside from being an awesome place to try some different beers or wines, the Cold Point Pub also sells 6-PACKS!

**cue the choir of angel’s singing!**

If you don’t live in Pennsylvania, you might not think this is a big deal, but it SERIOUSLY IS! The Pennsylvania alcohol laws don’t allow beer to be sold anywhere except for beer distributors (or apparently random pubs!) and the beer must be in a case!

Sometime’s an entire case is just too much of a commitment for me. I love that now I can stop by Whole Foods, do my grocery stopping and then if I need to pick up some beer, I can do it all in one stop! It’s nothing short of amazing!

   March 097

I picked up some Milk Stout and did a little 6-pack victory dance!

Cold Point Pub is a winner in my book!

ahh i had a moment like this the other day when i walked into the wegmans in collegeville. they have the same thing – a pub and SIX PACKS!!! that wine-tasting thing is really cool though, maybe i'll be able to entice my fiance to finally venture into a whole foods when i tell him about the alcohol 😉

OH. MY. GOD. That is incredible. I thought I was Whole Foods' biggest fan, but my store comes nowhere NEAR that one! You're definitely getting a pingback in my post tonight 🙂

I need one of those. Jason never wants to eat at WF but I bet if there was as pub inside, he'd change his tune.

MD has weird alcohol laws too. At least the county that I grew up in (Montgomery). You can't buy alcohol in the grocery store.

Be watchful when consuming too much beer since it can end up in alcohol addiction. Ofcourse if you are an enjoyer of life just like i am then you might not care!

Was that really necessary? I mean, NO ONE KNOWS that alcoholism is an issue. Thanks, Debbie Downer. Keep drinking mineral water.
