I am Irish. Are you?
If you are my Facebook friend, you definitely know I am Irish just from my last name. I have always been a big fan of St. Patrick’s Day. It’s so fun to see everyone out wearing green and showing their Irish pride. I must admit though that since I graduated college, St. Paddy’s Day hasn’t been as much of a party as it was (back in my glory days!) but I always find a way to enjoy myself.
Today I was excited when I went to school in the morning and parked on Green Street!
I was also just as excited when I was walking in Center City and I saw all these little flowers starting to pop up all over the place!
I love the green and the pop of color. Spring is here!
What’s your favorite springtime flower? I don’t know what the one’s on the left are, but they are so pretty! Daffodil’s are always a classic spring touch. I have an urge to go buy some at the store now!
The grass is finally green and the sky is blue and it is just a perfect day! I have plans to go outside later and enjoy the nice weather. I have a big test tomorrow so I am trying to study for that, but it’s too nice out to be stuck inside all day!
Jackson and I were both sporting our green today. I was wearing a green shirt and he had on his Key West Irish Kevin’s shirt!
We went outside this afternoon together and enjoyed the nice weather. When I posted my apartment tour I posted about the awesome dog park and gazebo area right outside my door.
Jackson always has a blast out there!
He looks so cute in his green shirt, don’t you think?
He went exploring for a while and I got a few action shots.
Action Jackson.
I know I don’t put pictures of Jackson up all the time, so here is your little Jackson fix for the week. He was rocking the camera today, if I do say so myself!
This is also right outside my door. Our apartment complex used to be an old textile mill, and they kept some of the original structures up. That mill is so pretty against the blue sty!
After a while of roaming around and taking some pictures, it was time to head back inside!
I took this picture while Jackson was shaking himself. It turned out so funny! Makes me laugh every time! Ha Ha!
So back in college, I would normally be getting ready to head out to get some green beer right about now. Our favorite Irish Pub from Villanova was Maloney’s! Everyone had these massive mugs for mug night and it was so cheap to fill up!
Do you have any fun St. Patrick’s Day traditions?
I do have something else fun planned for tonight! Come back and check it out!
