Today was a very fun day! I had work in the morning and then I met up with Aileen for a little bridesmaid dress shopping at the King of Prussia Mall! It was a very fun little shopping trip, but we didn’t find a whole lot out there.
I was hoping to possibly avoid going to wedding stores/boutique’s to get the bridesmaid dresses, but it looks like there aren’t many options out there!
Where did you get your bridesmaid dresses? Or if you were recently in a bridal party, where did you get your dress from? Any suggestions are welcome!
After a fun filled afternoon of frolicking through the mall, Aileen and I were super hungry! We decided to stop on the way home and fill our bellies with some amazing sushi.
My favorite sushi place in the entire Philadelphia region is Spamps in Conshohocken. The sushi is incredible. It’s the best I have ever had. When I lived in Conshohocken, Fiancé and I would eat here all the time. Now that we live closer to the city we don’t get out here as much as we used to, but any time I am in the area, I always stop by for some good eats!
Tonight was an extra special surprise when we stopped by for our dinner date – it was SUSHI NIGHT!
That meant it was Buy One, Get One for all sushi! I was beyond excited when we walked through the door and were greeted with this sign! Doesn’t get better than that!
Aileen and I started our meal with some lovely edamame.
I love this stuff. Any other edamame fans out there?
Next up was SUSHI TIME!
Aileen and I split 4 specialty rolls. Shopping works up an appetite!
Looking at this pictures makes me want to relive the magic that was my dinner this evening.
Here are the 4 rolls we got. They were little slices of heaven
-
Spider roll- soft shell crab, Wasabi and tobiko and eel sauce
-
Carie’s roll- shrimp tempura & cucumber wrapped in salmon & avocado
-
California dreaming roll- California roll wrapped with spicy tuna and king crab meat
-
Summer roll – tuna, mango, avocado with a spicy sauce topped with strawberry slices
Oh dear me. If you ever need me on a Tuesday, there is a good chance you can find me here.
What is your favorite sushi roll?

We actually got the bridesmaid's dress at JC Penny. I think they're pretty nice, considering. Ann Taylor usually has some nice options, as does J. Crew depending on the budget. And if you do go to a bridal salon, depending on the brand, you may be able to order them cheaper on NetBride.com, which has gotten really good review from several pepole I know. Good luck!
Nordstrom's has tons of dresses that come in multiple colors. I chose a short, stylish one in black for my bridesmaids so they would want to wear them again. http://tinyurl.com/3nal9f
The dresses I wore for my brother's wedding were great. You can see them here:

They were Priscilla of Boston Vineyard. They were last years's, but if you look at the website for this year's there are still a lot of cute ones:

I actually called in my measurements to the store and they ordered and shipped my dress to me and it fit perfectly, no alterations (that never happens to me), and so many people complimented us on them. On facebook people were asking me what the dresses were. They were really really cute 🙂
What a fun day/night out with your little sister! Your food looked amazing, even though I don't like Sushi!
