Hello everyone! I am here in Chicago, I landed on Thursday night and it has been a whirlwind weekend ever since! I have been running around to lots of different events, meeting tons of amazing people. It has been a blast so far and I am pumped to share my experience here at the Healthy Living Summit with you!
I woke up early Friday morning at 6:30 am and had a fun little run planned with some blogger friends!
We all started at the hotel and were ready to go check out Chicago!
Since I have been here our little run has been the most I have been able to see of Chicago because our schedule has been so jam packed, so it was great to check out the city for a bit!
Meghann, Sarah and I decided to head out on a little trail by the water
It was a beautiful morning to run, a little hot and humid for 6:30 am, but it was great to get out there and check out the area!
We ended up running an amazing route. We passed by an amazing aquarium and a massive stadium, which I definitely want to check out at a later date!
We ran along the water and had incredible views of the city and the skyline on the way back.
It was a chatty 6 miles! I love running with friends, the miles always fly by so much faster when you have people to talk to!
I also love when I come to a new city and there is an amazing running trail to take advantage of. It is a fabulous way to see some sights you might not have seen otherwise!
So far from this run and from walking around a little bit I am really loving Chicago. It is beautiful and clean with lots to see and do.
I am also really impressed with the water area that I have seen. Like I said, I have never been to Chicago before or seen Lake Michigan, but it is absolutely beautiful!
Obviously we had to stop mid run for a photo shoot.
Since I was attempting to pack light for this trip I had to leave my beloved camelbak at home, so I was very happy to see that there were lots of water fountains along the way.
Gorgeous skyline, right?
Going for a run bright and early was a great way to start by Healthy Living Summit experience.
Always keeping this in mind….
After a hot and sweaty early morning run I was ready to take on the rest of my day in Chicago!
Have you ever been to Chicago? Any suggestions of fun things to do?
I am excited to check out the rest of the city later today and what I don’t get to see this trip, hopefully I will get to see when I come back for the Marathon in October!
