Yesterday Fiancé and I went out on a mission – Apple Picking at Linvilla Orchards.
I was excited to pick my own apples – this is something I haven’t done since I was a little kid!
We were given a box and told anything we find was fair game.
It was so fun to go through the fields of apple trees in search of apples.
We walked a little bit towards the end of the orchards
And then we found APPLES!
Apples, apples everywhere!
They were so pretty to look at.
They were almost too pretty to pick.
Almost! 🙂
There were so many different kinds of apples out there that it was nice that most of the lanes of trees were marked with little tags telling you what kind of apples were in this area.
We made our way from the Red Delicious over to the Golden Delicious
Eventually we made it over to my favorite apples – Granny Smith!
What are your favorite types of apples?
It was fun to walk around to all the different areas and see the different kinds of apples on the trees.
All of the trees with different apples were so different! A variety of shapes and sizes with different leaves. It was cool to see.
Eventually we stopped all our apple picking fun to take a break and test out some apples!
I tried a little guy, I believe it was a Red Delicious apples.
They were delicious!
Then we continued on and found more apples!
We used a ladder to get to some higher ones.
I can’t decide which apples in the tree are prettier – Red or Green?
After an hour of walking around in search of perfect apples, we decided to take 12 home with us.
What should I make with them??
After we finished apple picking we decided to check out what else Linvilla had to offer.
I think Fiancé and I should retire to the countryside. Don’t we rock the farmer look??
I was surprised to see a big eating area that reminded me of being at a festival.
We were hungry for a snack and I had my eye on these potato chips.
Yes, these were are delicious as they look! Yum!
I have also been craving a good cider donut for a while now, and Linvilla had some of those for me too!
Best. Donut. Ever.
Then we decided to make our way over to Pumpkinland to pick out a pumpkin to carve!
So many to choose from, it was hard to pick!
While we searched for the perfect pumpkin, I got distracted by this ginormous butternut squash!
Seriously, it was massive!!
After a while of searching through the pumpkin bins we found one we both approved of!
Side Note – Go Phillies!
We had an awesome afternoon at Linvilla Orchards! I was so glad we ventured out there to see what they had to offer. We both had a great time and I can’t wait to come back next month – I have great dreams that we can cut our own Christmas tree!!
Do you go apple picking or pumpkin picking in the Fall? What’s your favorite Fall activity?

Great photos! The squash picture made me giggle. Apple picking is the best. Mcintosh are my all-time favorites, but this season I got hooked on Empires, too. Enjoy your pickings!
Awww!
I'd love to go apple picking – it looks SO fun!
And, about the massive squash… hahahahahaha, I bet it would taste delicious if roasted 😀
I absolutely LOVE apples and I love going apple picking and searching for pumpkins. I actually live about 20 minutes from the pumpkin capital of the US. I cannot wait till I get a weekend day to go apple picking because NOTHING tastes as good as a fresh apple does!! 🙂
Oh that is so exciting. Picking apples is on my bucket list now. I love jazz apples! They are the perfect combination of sweet and tart for me.
I have never been apple picking but I think it would be a lot of fun. My favorite apples are Granny Smith and Pink Lady!
When I was younger I used to go to the pumpkin patch in the fall and pick out our halloween pumpkins:)
We went apple picking too yesterday in PA. Of course, we both need to make an Apple Pie! Remember when you were a little girl we went apple picking in Winchester and pumpkin picking at Cox Farms! Those were always fun times! Glad you are continuing on the tradition with Fiance!
I went to Linvilla with my Mom and Hunni when on vacation. It was so fun. I made apple butter and apple sauce. Oh and apple dumplings too 🙂 Enjoy them!
oh man looks like so much fun!!! and those potato chips look amazing!!!!
I am so jealous! We don't have apple picking near me (in California.) It totally bums me out.
I love granny smith and honeycrisp apples. YUM
