Last night fiancé and I had a little night on the town with some old friends at LuxBar in the Near North area of Chicago.
I can’t even begin to tell you the gorgeous weather Chicago is having. It’s delightful during the day and just lovely at night! I hope it stays this way through Sunday.
LuxBar is located in an awesome area which I am in love with. There are so many fun bars and restaurants with great outdoor seating and big windows. Its a beautiful area.
We chose LuxBar because it was recommended to us by friend and because of the outdoor seats! Our group sat at this little table.
We enjoyed some bread at the table.
And I was still pretty full from lunch so I just got myself a salad loaded with veggies
And a mini crabcake slider. I was pumped when I learned you could order just one! It was the perfect amount of food.
The main point of this dinner was a reunion with friends. I got to see my two friends from when I studied abroad in Australia – Jessi and Amanda, who now live in Chicago. It was so fun to see these ladies and catch up with them.
After dinner fiancé and I walked around for a bit and stumbled across The Drake Hotel. I immediately started bursting out with Home Alone references! I love that movie.
The rest of the evening we spent strolling around Michigan Mile for a bit seeing some of the sights at night! It was a lovely evening!
Off to the Health & Fitness Expo!
Going to the Expo’s are one of my favorite things about races. I am like a kid on Christmas waking up to get my bib and see all the vendors! It’s so much fun to me!
