Yesterday on one of the most perfectly beautiful Fall days so far, a group of us went on the Bucks County Wine Trail to have some fun.
We started out at Rose Bank Winery.
This was one of the many serve yourself wine tasting spots. This proved to be dangerous later in the day!
Did I mention it was a perfect Fall day?
Kevin rented a big van to take our big group around in. He was an amazing DD ! 🙂
Mere was the Co-Pilot. She rocked her job too!
Next up was Crossing Vineyards.
This was actually a contender for our wedding reception location, but it ended up being a little too small for our needs. Beautiful space though.
The vineyards were changing colors for Fall.
Crossings Vineyards is actually one of my favorite wines from the area. They have lots of great choices and they taste amazing.
The boys at the tasting.
Me & Mere
At this tasting we learned a new technique for tasting wines – the swishing method. You take the wine in the front of your mouth, lean forward and whistle backwards. This brings out all the flavors of the wine! It was fun to do too!
Our tasting leader dressed up as Indiana Jones for Halloween! Very festive.
Mere & Kev in love.
All the girls getting their tasting on.
Then it was time to stop for lunch.
Kev was super sweet and packed a lunch for everyone. I had a turkey sandwich, it was delish!
We enjoyed our lunch outside, taking in the Fall weather.
With lunch there was a side of vino, obviously.
Then I did a little frolicking in the vineyard.
Here is our little tasting group.
Then we made our way to New Hope Winery.
Lots of other wines to taste!
Fiancé enjoyed the lovely wine selection.
Our last stop of the day was at Buckingham Vineyards.
Here is where all the wine started to catch up with me!
Silliness ensued.
Another all you can taste location.
The place was pretty bumping for a late Saturday tasting.
I want this shirt.
And this mat.
Me & Mere again. Wine lovers for life.
It was an amazing afternoon with a fun group of people. We had a great time, but I was feeling all that wine on the way home!
I was glad I got to try out some new local wine though. An amazing day was had by all!
What is your favorite local wine? Have you done a wine trail before? Where was it?
