We are still working on finishing up the Christmas tree, but I managed to get lots of other Christmas decorations up around the apartment already. Part of me feels like I am putting up the decorations a bit too early, because its not even December yet (one more day!), but I really don’t care because I love look of Christmas around the apartment so much!
Here is a sneak peak of what our apartment is starting to look like:
I love taking something that is already there, like this vase with and adding a bit of a Christmas touch!
It changes the whole look!
I am also obsessed with my little snowman Christmas calendar. The snowflake moves to what date it is and is my little countdown to when Santa comes. It also serves as my Christmas card holder!
I love snail mail and Christmas cards, so hopefully I start getting some soon!
I am not sure if you knew this already or not, but I have a serious love for candles and all things candles. Just picked up this holder this weekend with my mom. I love it!
I am a huge fan of decorations that are winter/holiday themed but not too over the top “Christmas-ey” mainly because then I have an excuse to keep everything out for the remainder of the winter.
I mentioned these placemats in my Favorite Things Friday this past weekend and I picked them up over the weekend. I am loving them, mainly because they are festive without going over the top!
The green reindeer makes me oh so happy!
The Santa napkin holder used to be my parents, but it made its’ way back to Philadelphia with me. I think he’s cute!
Since we are lacking a fireplace, I created one here. I love the stockings hanging down.
A little touch of Christmas in the kitchen…
I also picked up a Rosemary tree at Whole Foods. It smells amazing and is in the shape of a little mini Christmas tree! Swoon!
Any other Jim Shore fans out there? I love my Nativity Angel.
Some blast from the past pictures of Jackson with Santa are decorating our entry-way. These are more comical than anything!
Obviously, Jackson loves Santa…
One of my serious holiday obsessions, other than pretty placemats, are seasonal candles. I love all the fun scents and love even more how they make the apartment smell awesome.
Two of my favorite Yankee Candle smells are Balsam & Cedar and Silver Bells. I tend to pick up extras towards the end of the season on sale and save them for the next year! It works out really well.
I also love the pinecone candle decor. These babies can stay out all winter!
What are your favorite holiday scents/candles?
All in all, we don’t have too many decorations, just a few fun seasonal/holiday items, but a little bit makes a big difference in our space. And putting out just a few little decorations, totally puts me in the Christmas Spirit!
Can you believe tomorrow is December?!
Have you started decorating yet? What are some of your favorite things to put out?

Totally can't believe it is December already! This year has FLOWN! We are out of town for an entire month surrounding Christmas so not too many decorations out. 🙁 I need to bring some holiday spirit to this place. I must search for our stockings tomorrow!
I love those reindeers!
Something about spicy smelling candles gets me in the mood. And sapins!
yay for Christmas Decorations!! Your snowman calendar is cute! 🙂 I noticed you said you loved snail mail and Christmas cards… I'm having a Christmas card swap on my blog and signups end today/early tomorrow morning… you can check out the details at this link:

We got our first christmas card last night! I'm excited to send ours with our wedding pic on it! We are actually having furniture delievered this week so we are waiting until Sat to put up our tree. YEAH!
Precious – digging the avant calendar and Yankee candle. All your decor is super cute.
I have put up tree one of two:) Can't wait to get our real one.
Thank you for reminding me to get my Christmas cards – duh!!
We always get a real tree (we go out to a tree farm near our house and wander around till we find the perfect tree). My favorite decorations for the tree are died apples, oranges, lemons, and cinnamon sticks.
We haven't decorated yet, but with 2 young boys, I'm sure it won't be too long (I don't know how long they can hold out)!
I love all of your Christmas decorations…the pictures of jackson with santa cracked me up 🙂 I have christmas lights up year round! I really want to get a real tree, but I'm afraid my dog would eat the lower branches and drink from the tree water haha!
Everything looks so nice! You've done a great job making your apartment look so festive and happy! I remember those Jackson photos with Santa?
