Ok, ok. I know I am supposed to be recapping our fabulous cruise from last week, and I promise that is coming next, but last night Fiancé and I had a Holiday Party with some friends and I wanted to share that with you first!
So sit back, relax and please enjoy my recap of our holiday party.
Here, have a candy cane.
Ok, have a few candy canes!
(Candy canes are a favorite holiday treat of mine!)
Let me first take you on a little tour of the apartment set up for our party.
Obviously a wreath on the apartment door is necessary.
Please come in! 🙂
I had lots of snacks set up on the kitchen table.
A sausage and cheese ball from Hickory Farms.
As well as some sliced up cheese blocks.
At Fiancé’s request we also had some pepperoni and crackers.
And some chips and pretzels in my big Cali bowls.
I set up candy canes around the apartment in ball jars.
Along with some other holiday decor.
I cleared off the area behind our kitchen table and made a little buffet area for veggies and dip.
Red and green Cali bowls for the veggies added a bit of holiday flare.
For dips we had red pepper hummus, French onion and original hummus.
Don’t forget to eat your veggies! 🙂
I set up a separate dessert/drink area on our high top table.
Complete with cocoa chex-mix
Oatmeal cookies, raspberry shortbread cookies
Regular chocolate chip cookies and brownies too!
Original chocolate chip cookies are fiancé’s favorite so they had to make an appearance.
I also set up a red wine and water station with pretty festive cups.
The fridge held only the essentials – white wine, soda and milk.
As well as a massive amount of beer.
Beer cans in the crisper drawer. We are a classy bunch!
What’s a holiday party without beer? We went with the classic favorite of Miller Light as well as a Yards (Philadelphia Brewing Company) variety pack.
I also made buffalo chicken dip at fiancé’s request. He loves that stuff.
Jackson was excited for the party to start.
All we had to do was wait for the guests to arrive!
Fiancé and I were decked out in our fabulous holiday t-shirts!
Posting by our tree in my fun new shirt. I Believe! 🙂
Jackson did a little posing too!
And then he did a little candy cane sniffing!
And then the guests started to arrive!
My brother Michael and his girlfriend Joan did a little posing with Jackson and his date Ruby in their Santa outfits.
Ruby and her mom Meredith with hubby Kevin.
AJ is a big fan of having his picture on the internet. 🙂
Kate and Noodles
The gangs all here!
But let’s be honest – Jackson and his date Ruby were the stars of the evening!
A fun time was had by all. Lots of food was eaten, wine was drank and good times were had among friends!
You know a fun party is had by all when Jackson puts himself to sleep in his little hut before everyone leaves!
In the end a good time was had by all!
Last year we held a Thanksgiving Round 2 party and this year we had this little soirée – maybe an annual holiday get together is our new thing?!
Have you been to lots of parties this season so far? Do you hold a holiday party for your friends?

I love candy canes too. My husband was making fun of me because I bought one at a gas station recently.
I haven't been to many holiday parties this season, for some reason. Maybe next year I will think about having one of my own.
