My Gift Guide for Runners

Since there is only 3 more days until Christmas and since I ran my first marathon(s) this year, first in Chicago and then 3 weeks later in New York City, I wanted to share my favorite running things with you.

Maybe you are looking for a last minute gift for the runner or athlete in your life, or maybe you want to get yourself something special to start the new year off right. Well, here are some of my favorite running things!

1- My Garmin Forerunner 405 โ€“ I never go for a run without it. It has changed the way I run and how I train. Best running gift ever.

2- My lucky Headsweats Newton running hat. I pretty much have worn it in every race I have ever run.

It is a fabulously bright color, keeps the sun out of my face and the sweat out of my eyes. Best $20 I ever spent.

3. My Zensah leg sleeves – I have pretty much worn them in ever race I have ever run also. They have kept my shin splints at bay for the past 2 years.

They are also great to wear for a little bit of extra warmth in winter!

4 – Road ID which proudly says Run Like You Stole Something

5 – Rocking the Recovery Socks โ€“ I proudly wear some form of compression socks after every race to increase recovery. Love these!

6. Pretty much any Nathan running product. I love my hydration bottle.

as well as my hydration belt.

7. If you need a little more hydration in your life a Camelbak is the perfect solution for on the go H20

8- Along with rocking the recovery socks after a run, I also love to play on the foam roller for a bit. It always hurts so good, and is worth it.

This one is on sale for $7! A little different form than mine, but similar concept.

9. Running skirts are also my thing. Never leave for a run without one! They look cute, feel fabulous and have pockets. I love mine!

10- Aside from loving and wearing and using all the amazing items mentioned above, I need something to carry all that gear around with me. For that I use my fabulous Live Well 360 Bag. I use it everyday for lots of things. It is an amazing bag!

So those are just a few of my favorite running essentials that I use all the time.

What would be on your running wish list? What is your favorite running thing that you use the most? What are you getting for the runner in your life this holiday season?

11- Oh, and this little number is great for hanging up all those hard earned medals too ๐Ÿ™‚

New to your blog and thought I'd send a quick note to say hello! I'm a fellow runner and a fellow Philadelphian – and I rarely travel without my garmin and my foam roller (though this week I'm actually in New Orleans without either!).

Your list is also good for all the walkers in the world. I personally love the compression socks, they are great when I'm walking my 5 miles each day. They keep your muscles and legs feeling great! I could see walkers using all of the items on your list with the exception of the medal rack, no marathons for walkers yet!
