October 2010– This Fall started out a little crazy with flooding in Philly!!
I then got myself a little present – the Vita-Mix! Is it wrong to love a blender?
Then Fiancé and I celebrated our one year of being engaged which I decided to call our Engagement-aversary!
After our celebration we headed back to Chicago so I could run my first Marathon. I asked for positive running vibes because I was nervous, but I was excited to wear my new shirt!
My first marathon was tough, but it was very exciting!
Before all the Marathon fun, we enjoyed Chicago a bit going on the Near North Chicago Food Planet Tour and an Architectural Boat Tour. Both were fabulous ways to see the Windy City!
I came back from my first marathon and was ready to enjoy Fall in Philadelphia. I started my making butternut squash soup.
The Fiancé and I went apple picking at Linvilla Orchards. We picked apples, got a pumpkin and ate cider doughnuts – Oh My!
Other awesome Fall eats include Pumpkin scones and butternut risotto.
It was also fun when we went on the Bucks County Wine Trail for the day.
The end of October was when we celebrated Fiancé’s 27th birthday.
For his birthday I made a Homemade Apple Pie – just for him!
And we ended October with a very Happy Halloween – Jackson celebrated by dressing up like a turtle. He rocked the look, obviously.
November 2010– We started off this month with a visit to the 2010 Philadelphia Food & Wine Festival.
But before I knew it, it was time to get back down to business and focus on the New York Marathon Mile by Mile. I had learned so much from my first marathon a few weeks earlier in Chicago, but I had the wonderful opportunity to run NYC this season too, so I took advantage of it
I went to the NYC Marathon Expo
Embraced the craziness of the NYC Marathon morning
And I ended up running an amazing NYC Marathon – complete with a new PR that took about 20 minutes off my Chicago time! Woohoo!
After rocking my 2nd marathon in a month I had to make some serious changes on my bib board to make room for my marathon medals.
Fiancé & I celebrated 5 years of Love
And we decided where we wanted to go on our honeymoon
Then, before I knew it, it was time to say Goodbye to the Pumpkins after Thanksgiving with my family. I was very thankful for so much this year.
December 2010– It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas very early this year. so Fiancé and I decided to get our tree up quick!
We decorated our tree the best way we knew how and had all our friend over for a little Holiday Party.
Oh! And Jackson and I Elf’ed ourselves too
Fiancé and I went on a little cruise as our Christmas present to each other.
And we got back just in time to celebrate the holidays with our families.
2010 was an amazing year. It flew by in the blink of an eye but it was filled with lots of amazing events!

What an eventful year! You two look so happy, and I'm sure 2011 will be another great year. So when's the big day? Can't wait to see if Jackson gets to wear a tux 🙂

Sounds like a great last quarter of the year!
My husband and I checked out the Bucks County wine trail a couple years ago for Valentine's Day – a little hokey and a lot of fun 🙂
