Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe evening ringing in 2011 on Friday night. Fiancé and I enjoyed a low key night together with Jackson, and it was awesome. We ended up going to Happy Hour at PF Changs (did you know they have HH every day from 3-6 with $3-6 apps and drinks? Cool, right!) – we split some appetizers, enjoyed a drink or two and then headed off to the movies to see Black Swan. I really liked it – the movie was a little crazy and made you think. Two thumbs up from me!
After the movie Fiancé headed back home to enjoy some bubbly.
We popped some champagne which we received from our engagement party and enjoyed it in our heart shape champagne flutes we received from when we registered. I like to call them our “everyday champagne flutes” which fiancé likes to tease me about.
A little fun bead action while watching the ball drop.
I was also inspired by Sabrina’s nails so I painted mine with Ulta’s Naughty and Nice topped with some sparkle. Festive nails make me happy.
So I have been thinking about my 2011 resolutions the past few days and I want to keep it simple – So hear are my resolutions for 2011:
I have a very busy year coming up with our wedding quickly approaching so my number one resolutions is to keep calm, cool and collected when it comes to any aspect of the wedding planning. Wedding planning has the tendency to be stressful, but my goal is to not let it be!
My second goal is borrowed from my friend Beck – Seek new opportunities in all areas of my life – fitness, career, and personal life.
In terms of fitness I have plans to run to Cherry Blossom 10 Miler and hopefully (assuming I get to register) the Marina Corps Marathon in the Fall. Two new races in DC where I have never run before! In terms of blog career, I am always in the market for upgrading anything I can. I hope to face 2011 with more fun content, beautiful pictures and keep the blog fun! And for personal life I love going new places, meeting new people and trying new things. I hope to continue to improve on that this year.
Other resolutions for 2011 include practicing more yoga, creating more amazing meals, reading more books and being in the best shape of my life for my wedding day. I have dreams of a defined back and strong arms!
Those are just a few things I am always trying to focus on in the new year. It is always nice to start of fresh with new goals and a clean slate!
How did you spend your New Years Eve? What is your #1 goal for 2011?
