Time for another Favorite Things Friday! I love sharing my favorite things from the past week with you every Friday! Enjoy!
This is my new favorite book. Lauren first introduced me to it and I am in love with it. The Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises is the best thing ever.
I am making a new attempt in 2011 to lift weights more and incorporate more strength training into my workouts and this is the perfect book to help me along the way.
It has hundreds of great workout moves you can do without using any weights or equipment at all.
Along with TONS of great options for when you want to hit the weights. I love how it shows you step by step different ways to do different exercises as well as proper form.
Different chapters are broken down by the area of the body which you want to focus on and exercises which will help you in that target area. I also enjoy the fact that the beginning of each chapter gives an in depth look at the muscles you are focusing on. I guess that’s just the Food & Nutrition student in me!
There is also a separate chapter that breaks out different workout with specific goals in mind. Like the Best Workouts for a Crowded Gym, which is perfect for this time of year and the January Joiners.
A Skinny Jeans Workout which focuses on the booty! Ow Ow!
A Time Saving Couples Workout, which I might try and get Fiancé to join me in doing this weekend
And what I will be doing – The Wedding Workout! Seriously I can’t say enough good things about this amazing book. You need this in your life if you want to up your weight training game!
Another favorite for the week is the fact that I have jumped on the Jillian Michaels 6 Week to Six Pack Abs bandwagon.
I am a soon to be blushing bride after all so I need a 6 pack in my life for the big day as well as for our honeymoon!
I have done her 30 Day Shred before and loved it so hopefully this will be just as awesome with good results!
Another new favorite for the week is my new planner. I was at Barnes & Noble picking up my Big Book of Exercises and came across this little beauty.
Yes it is a calendar with a picture of a different pair of shoes every week but as you all know, I am a shoe gal!
Who doesn’t love looking at pretty shoes every week?
I know I love it! And I also love the fact that Barnes & Noble was having a 50% off all planners sale, so that was a added bonus!
I figure a new year calls for a new planner !
When did it become 2011? This is crazy!
Love these new purchases!
Other favorite things for the week include Lipton Bedtime Story. I have been enjoying a mug of this before bed every night this week and it has been lovely.
I also should admit my new love for Italian Blood Orange Soda. I am not a soda drinker, but I feel like this is more like sparking water than soda (except for the sugar content!), but this stuff is so good! The Frizzante is from Wegmans and the Villa Italia is from Trader Joe’s! Yum!
And as always, my final favorite for the week is Jackson!
What are some of your favorite things for the week?

I am seriously jealous of that calendar!
Do you know how Jackson is doing in the contest??
Ohh thanks for posting the book! It looks good!
I used to work at a restaurant that made blood orange mimosas. Champagne + blood orange juice = delicious. I'd sneak lots of tastes (the blood orange juice, not mimosas…)!
that's got to be the most fabulous planner i've ever seen! i'm jealous! =)
ps: i have a blog award for you, if you'd like it, on my page at http://www.maggie-jean.com
I'll be doing the Jillian Michaels 6 week to 6 pack abs as well! I am waiting for Amazon to deliver my goodies!
You Friday list of favorites is as always awesome, but I love the last favorite best, that would be Jackson – boy, he looks so adorable! The purple planner rocks for me too, the color and of course the shoes!
I've looked at that workout book at Borders before. Looks like a great wealth of information!
I did P90X for 3 months before my wedding. It worked well!
