Last night I was out celebrating Aileen’s Birthday dinner!
Some of Aileen’s family and friends headed out for a fabulous dinner together at Auspicious in Ardmore. It’s a cure little BYO Chinese Restaurant right off the Main Line.
It was a celebration so lots of sparkling wine was poured! It might be my new favorite adult beverage – I love the bubbles and the light sweetness! Yum!
We started off with a few appetizers for the table – Thai lettuce wraps (one chicken and one veggie) and some edamame (which I loooove!)
For dinner everyone got a different dish to share with the table. I was leaning towards my usual favorite but then I decided to do something different – I got the Create Your Own Stir Fry which I added lots of veggies and a coconut curry sauce because I love a little kick of spice to my meals!
Everyone got something different – we had 6 different entrees to choose from.
I had a little bit of everything and then went back for more.
Aileen’s brother, Sam ordered the whole Peking duck, which I had never seen before. It looked pretty cool, but I wasn’t feeling adventurous enough to try it out for myself.
And obviously no Chinese dinner is complete without a fortune cookie.
And some orange slices! Yum!
It was a fabulous evening filled with lots of laughs.
After dinner we headed back to the house for some birthday cake!
Make a wish Aileen!
It was a carrot cake birthday cake! Yummers!
Not the best way to implement Operation: Hot Bride, but I did what I had to do for Aileen’s Birthday! 🙂
When you go out to dinner for a birthday celebration feast – what is your cuisine of choice? I enjoy Thai food and sushi! Two of my favorites!
