Skiing yesterday was AWESOME!
We hit the slopes bright and early and were pleasantly surprised by the un-crowded slopes – coming up early to ski all day on Friday was the best idea!
Stratton Mountain was a pretty good sized mountain. Lots of slopes and lots of lifts too!
Fiancé and I were pumped to get our ski on!
We spent the day skiing with Meghann and Derek and it was so much fun!
It was a beautiful day on the mountain.
So much glorious white snow!
And amazing views from the top!
We saw Bromley Mountain in the distance.
Around lunchtime the group broke for lunch and beers.
It might have been the best beer ever! Tasted so good after a day on the slopes.
We enjoyed lunch and drinks at Grizzlies which is the bar on the mountain.
Then it was time to get back on the mountain.
The afternoon got a little icier as the sun went behind the clouds.
But it was still awesome to hit the slopes.
Meghann, Derek, Theodora, Fiancé and I skied together all afternoon.
After a long day on the mountain we all came home and had a big family dinner – for 17 people!
Fiancé was chopping up a storm
While Theodora and I took pictures!
Everyone had their own little station and was helping make dinner.
Home-made croutons were created.
Meghan prepared her famous roasted veggies.
We also had lots of pasta – some with shrimp, some with linguini and clam sauce and lots of veggies mixed in!
And my favorite – baked ziti!
We also had garlic bread and Cesar salad with homemade dressing and birthday cake to celebrate Theodora’s Birthday! It was a meal fit for skiing kings and queens!
We spent the rest of the evening enjoying drinks by the fire and playing a really fun game!
It was an amazing evening with friends – I can’t want to do it all again today!
