I can’t believe it has taken this long to share all our honeymoon fun – and so far, I have only posted 1 week’s worth of our travels!
Since we spent the past week taking in the sights in Istanbul & Athens, it was time to relax on our honeymoon – we did that by cruising the Greek Isles!
We started off toasting the start of our cruise as we left Athens and headed towards our first port of call – Mykonos!
We got a sweet room with a view, it was really relaxing to watch the world go by from our window.
It was nice to sit out on the deck and wait for our arrival to our first Greek Island!
And before we knew it – we had arrived!
Mykonos was our first stop on our cruise and we ended up getting there in the afternoon – which was perfect for us to walk around, see the sights, grab some dinner and catch the sunset!
I was so excited to see the blue sky against the white houses.
Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan islands in Europe, and its nightlife has attained an iconic status among Europeans.
I wore my party shirt for the occasion.
We made our way from the ship to the little town.
And passed fresh seafood hanging from a ship along the way.
Seriously, Mykonos is gorgeous.
It looked like something out of a movie!
In the town there were tons of restaurants, shops and spots for nightlife – the streets and pathways were super small!
But it came with a great view!
We also got to meet Petros, the Mykonos Pelican, who is a mascot of the island.
This was one BIG pelican!
It was so relaxing and lovely to stroll the streets of Mykonos and enjoy the amazing views.
So gorgeous.
As the sun started to set, we decided to stop for dinner and enjoy the show.
Local beer for the gentleman and local wine for the lady.
We also enjoyed a lovely Greek salad. I love the brick of feta cheese on the top.
And of course some tzatziki.
We ate, we drank and enjoyed being married!
I picked up a little hat during our walking around Mykonos. What do you think? I heart it.
And before we knew it, nighttime had fallen in the tiny town of Mykonos in the Greek Isles.
The town was just as breathtaking in the evening as it was when the sun was shining.
I could have stayed here forever.
Before we knew it, we had to head back to the ship to set sail towards our next destination! See you in Ephesus!
