Tonight I went to Night Market Philadelphia – and had an amazing evening out on the town.
What is Night Market you ask? Well, let me tell you, it is nothing short of magical!
It is a roving outdoor street fair celebrating the city’s diverse array of restaurants and gourmet food trucks.
Pretty much a food bloggers dream if you ask me!
I was greeted at the entrance with a lovely (and color coded) map showing where everything is located. 3-4 blocks were closed off along Germantown Avenue in Mount Airy for this special occasion.
Upon walking around I experienced tons of food options, different drinks, live music and more.
Night Market was crazy packed! I am not sure if it was because it was dinnertime or the beautiful evening, but it was wall to wall people walking around checking out the different food and drink options.
Charles and I started off the evening with a beer from Earth bread + brewery.
A Spiced Belgian Wheat Ale for her and a Summer Stout for him.
The beers were delish – I want to go back and check out the brewery! Yum!
We walked around with our beers and enjoyed the live music
and then got in line for some eats!
Charles had his heart set on trying out Mamma Maria’s
For a Sausage & Pepper hoagie.
it was amazing.
We enjoyed some eats and walked around to check out the rest of our food options.
I had my heart set on a crepe.
I saw Banana Nutella on the sign and it brought me back to our honeymoon in Santorini – and that made me happy.
Definitely worth the wait!
I could have eaten something from every truck, but the lines were crazy. I am sad I didn’t get my hands on a cupcake!
People were waiting over an hour for some Nomad Pizza. It looked amazing, but I wasn’t that patient.
Also, I would like a truck with a built in brick oven for prime pizza making! Think i should add it to my Christmas list?
Yes, that oven is built into the truck – so cool!
Such an awesome evening with tons of great food and drinks – an amazing night out!
I can’t wait for the next Night Market in Philly – See you in October!

I love Nomad! They’re based in Hopewell, NJ, about two minutes from my parent’s house 🙂 They have an amazing herb garden that they utilize to make their pizzas even more delish. Hope you get to try it some day.
Looks like such fun event!!
My old roommate coordinates the Night Markets for the Food Trust. I’m so excited to see how popular they’re becoming. I went to the first one back in October down by Passayunk. It was awesome! It’s a great event and I hope they keep popping up throughout the city. I think there should be some suburb Night Market love, like a Main Line or Doylestown event.
Wow – wish I could have been there – I’ll have to check out to see if DC has such an event. The food looked amazing too!
Looks like a lot of fun, and very tasty too!
Richard III only has one matinee on Sunday, July 17th. The Directors mutlauly decided that they would rather have more nighttime performances of Richard and more daytime performances of As You Like It.
