Late last night, Charles, Jackson & I made the trek from NJ to VA to spend Christmas Eve and morning with my parents in Virginia. The past few years we have done the opposite, spending Christmas Eve and morning with his family and spending Christmas Day in Virginia – but this year due to work schedules we had to change things up a bit!
It was rough to get in really late last night (1am) but it was nice to wake up at home and be able to spend all day with my family.
Here are some of the sights of our Christmas in Virginia:
At my parents house there are two trees – one is filled with only White House Ornaments.
My mom collects them – she gets one every year. She has every single one from they started the collection in 1981.
We actually have two full sets of the ornament collection – one for me and one for my brother!
Here is our main tree – Santa hasn’t come yet so its empty below.
And a few of my favorite ornaments –
A bunch of the ornaments on our tree my mom actually MADE! She is quite the crafter – check them out:
Pretty fancy, huh?
Oh hey – I found the Christmas Pickle!
My mom also has a fond love for Santa’s
My favorite is the Irish Santa!
And the table is all set for Christmas dinner!
In past years we would eat our Christmas feast on Dec. 25th but since our plans have changed around this year a bit, my parents moved the dinner to Christmas Eve!
My parents bust out the fancy china for the Holidays & special occasions!
I love their wedding china just as much as I love my own!
So this is where we will be feasting this evening!
The bird is in the oven and I am off to spend the rest of the day with the family!

Everything looks gorgeous! I love all the ornaments your mom made.
We had that glass, light up tree [your first picture] but it came to a crashing end a few years ago, so sad! We just had Christmas Eve din din at my momma’s and it was so beautiful driving throughout the neighborhood and looking at all of the decorations…
I actually loved celebrating Christmas on Christmas Eve this year! Everything worked out perfect! Love you guys!
