Along the Banks…
The other day, Charles and I decided to check out East Falls newest restaurant.
In Riva is a Southern Italian inspired restaurant with a little bit of an urban vibe. I really enjoyed the decor.
We started off with a beer (for him) and a wine (for me)
And then decided to try out an appetizer – we got The Mix – two cheeses & two meats.
We started our meal with the wild boar cacciatorini (yes, I tried boar!), along with the prosciutto di parma.
The cheese we tried out were the la tur and ubriaco prosecco – both were amazing.
It was a nice size platter of meat & cheese!
Next up – the pizza was calling our names. There were tons of different varieties to choose from.
The Cippolini was what I really wanted to try – pancetta, goat cheese & brussel sprouts – YES PLEASE! Unfortunately, Charles wasn’t feeling it, so we got something we both would enjoy, but I will be coming back for the Cippolini sometime soon!
We read good things online about the Sausage & Peppers pizza, and it was recommended by our waiter, so we went with that.
It was a pretty amazing pizza.
It had a little kick to it which was awesome – the green you see looks like sliced peppers, but it is a hot sauce of sorts that gives the pizza a BANG!
The crust, and the rest of the pizza was really good! I am excited to have an awesome pizza place so close to home!
I am going to have to come back for the Cippolini ASAP before my 40 Days begins!

Looks like an amazing place – I’m really hungry now and would love a slice of pizza – yummy! Another fun place to try when I visit!
Love bubbly pizza and lots of toppings, it looks great! P.S. Awesome idea to use a tomato sauce can as a pizza pedestal [easy to recreate at home] 😀
