Mean Green Juice Recipe

I recently watched Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead on Netflix the other day – that movie, combined with my 40 Days inspired me to get juicing again!

Anyone watched that movie? It was pretty amazing to watch and I am considering a ReBoot myself once my 40 days is up!

I have committed myself to at least a green juice every day of my program. I have fallen back in love with my green creations and I look forward to enjoying it every day! Today I wanted to share with you the Mean Green Juice recipe(inspired by the movie!) that I have been drinking every day.

Mean Green Juice

6 Kale Leaves
1 Cucumber
4 Celery Stalks
2 Green Apples
1 Lemon

The Juice of Champions, if I do say so myself!

Would you be able to commit to a 5 day ReBoot program of ONLY juicing?

    I would definitely do a 5 day reboot. I’ve heard a lot about juicing and read some too, and I want to get a good quality juicer this year. I hear conflicting reports different types of juicers vs blenders vs food processors. They’re awfully expensive so I’m not sure yet which I want to buy. But I’d love to be able to juice regularly especially since I always get a ton of carrots in my CSA box every week and I think how much easier it would be to eat them all if I juiced them. lol. For now I go to my local vegan cafe where they sell freshly juiced smoothies.

    I really like juice smoothies, and I love spinach, but sorta can’t stomach the green juice/smoothie drink. I guess I have a mental block about the color and drinking juice.

    I’ve been on the Mean Green for less than a week and I’ve lost around 10#. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water, so the toxins get washed away.

    Don’t forget the ginger! You need about 1-thumb size cut of ginger in there to match the movie recipe. It changes the flavor significantly, and for the better if you like ginger!

    I used/ stole an idea from a friend to stomach the Mean green. First, it’s okay to add apples/ carrots to make it sweeter, I agree add the Ginger, and get one of the cute colored (green) hard plastic cups that come with the straw to fool yourself. It will look clear. Love the blog!!
