terrain at styer’s

Its hard for me to explain my experience at terrain at styer’s other than to tell you it was a magical one.

I was informed of terrain’s existence by my good friend aileen and I am so happy she shared it with me as this might be one of my favorite stores ever!

She told me terrain was owned by the same company as anthropologie – Aileen didn’t need to tell me anymore than that, I was already in love.

Terrain at Styer’s is an outdoor shopping experience aimed to give inspiration for the garden + home.

There are only two locations – Westport, CT & Glen Mills, PA.

Lucky for me the Glen Mills location is less than a 30 minute drive from Philadelphia, so I made a little day trip out to it check out for myself!

I walked inside and was immediately drawn into the local garden center than has been transformed into a celebration of nature.

The idea behind the flagship location in Glen Mills was to merge house and garden inspiration to create an experience for the senses – and an experience it was!

The indoor-outdoor shop features plants for all seasons as well as inspired items for the home & garden.

I didn’t have a chance to eat here this time, but you better believe I will be testing out the food during my next trip!

The on-site nursery showcases different ideas for garden inspiration which blew my mind.

All the details were beautiful, I wanted to stay here and walk around, enjoying the decor all day!

Around every corner was a new piece of beauty.

I want to take up gardening just so I can shop her regularly!

Another part of the shopping experience that I really enjoyed was the fact that the events calendar for the store is off the hook!

One of the events/experiences terrain is best known for are their terrarium’s – there are many that are already created, each one different than the next, but they also offer terrarium creation classes where you can make your own!

I have plans to come back for a class to make a terrarium of my very own, but I also opted to purchase one in celebration of our upcoming move!

Isn’t she a beaut?!

Have you ever been to a store like this?

Any words of wisdom for creating a terrarium of my very own?

I saw their set up at the Devon Horse Show and it was gorgeous! I didn’t have a chance to look at all of it though. Glad to know it is not far.

I’m about 20 minutes from Terrain and LOVE it. Definitely make another trip to eat in the cafe – I’ve had lunch there twice and both meals were amazing! (There’s also a new Whole Foods in Glen Mills and a great restaurant called Harvest…and a Philadelphia Runner store all in the same shopping center!)

I knew you would purchase a terrarium, but you definitely need to take a class and create your own. That will be so much fun to do!
