Last night a group of friends made our way out to the Main Line to say farewell to one of our favorite bands – Mr. Greengenes – I have posted about my nights out going to see MRGG in the past, its crazy to think that they have scheduled their final shows along the East Coast in 2013 as their time as a band is coming to an end.
I decided to dress up for the occasion wearing my new favorite Aztec sequin skirt from Express – I love it so much I bought it in two colors, black & cream!
An appropriate outfit for a rock show, wouldn’t you say?
The show was sold out so it was a good thing we got our tickets ahead of time!
We got there right in time before the show started – there were lots of different band members that were in attendance last night to show support for the final shows. It was cool to see some different people play.
Fun Fact: Charles & I met (and got married) at Villanova – The concert last night was held at Brownies 23 East, which was a bar we would frequent together in college. Some might say its where our relationship really began!
It was fun to go back to where it all started.
As usual, greengenes put on a great show. Brian, the lead vocalist’s mom was in attendance last night, he dedicated the show to her. It was really sweet.
It was also cool to see my NikeFuel band activity from dancing the night away.
I can’t tell you the last night I stayed out until 2am but it was a great way to spend a Saturday night – great friends, great music & great fun!
Thanks to Mr. Greengenes for another great show!

Do you have a favorite local band you would go to see again & again (and again!)?

Great recap – loved your outfit too! It had to be Karma that brought you, Charles and MRGG to Brownies where your relationship with Charles started, don’t you think? Is MRGG from Philly?
