When Do YOU Workout?

The past two weeks I have been on a workout mission to get bikini ready because we have a trip coming up!  In 6.5 weeks, Charles & I will be headed to the Bahamas to spend some time at the Atlantis! This is a trip we take with his company & it will be our 4th time going. It’s always a blast & I can’t wait to enjoy some sun, sand, great food, amazing waterworks & the beach!

Having a trip to be excited about is great motivation for me to get my booty in gear. I love having something to look forward to and knowing I will be rockin’ a two piece inspires me to push that much harder at the gym.

Which brings me to my questions – When is the best time to workout?

I have spent the past 14 days doing a little gym experiment – I spent last week going to the gym in the evening & this past week I’ve been going in the morning. I’ve been trying to see what works best for me, my life & when makes me leave the gym feeling happy.

The gym I go to is located within our apartment complex so it is never really too crowded so that has never been an issue for me. I have never had a problem getting on the equipment I wanted to use.

And the answer for me – The MORNING!

I love getting up a little earlier, busting out a workout and being able to go about the rest of my day knowing I got my sweat session in. It’s calming for me, in a weird way, but I really like it.

I know there is no right or wrong time to workout – as long as you are getting out there and getting moving, anytime is the best time to workout. It was just interesting for me to see what makes me feel the best.

    In reality, I prefer working out in the morning, but since I work until 1:00pm, I am in the habit of working out in early afternoon, not bad for me because it gives me more energy to motor through the rest of the day! My least favorite time in after dinner, but sometimes that’s my only option!

    I’m a total AM workout lover too! If it doesn’t happen when my energy levels are high, unless its a scheduled yoga or spin class, it doesn’t happen (especially after work!).

    I love working on in the mornings because there are too many excuses after work (happy hours, dinner plans, shopping ect.) . What else would I be doing at 6am? Oh sleeping…. forget about it! Morning workouts give me energy all day.
