I hope everyone out there had a beautiful Valentine’s Day 2013.
My day was filled with sweethearts {love these things!}, red bows in my hair and a new iPhone case from j.crew {for $7! score!}
I also was able to whip up some heart shaped brownies – Charles’ favorite {the brownies, not necessarily in a heart shape. I’m pretty sure that with him, any shape will do!}
I have a massive sweet tooth so I decided to add frosting to mine.
And sprinkles.
With little red & white hearts. {boom!}
Charles doesn’t seem to have the sweet tooth I do – so when I make something sweet, he usually doesn’t help me eat it, which isn’t any good for me really. I need a man that will help me eat the cake, not watch me eat all the cake – am I right?
But for some reason, he has a love for {plain} brownies – so this valentine’s day, I decided to whip some up for him.
But seriously, doesn’t mine look way better with the frosting & sprinkles?!
Charles came home with some lovely roses.
He done good.
And I had a special surf & turf meal waiting for him.
Steamed broccoli, baked potato, crab cake & filet (with a bit of Rachael Ray’s blue cheese butter – I promise, after I took this photo it melted & looked way better! Use your imagination, it was awesome!)
Either way, butter melted or not, it was a meal fit for my valentine.
And we topped off our amazing meal with the champagne we had at our wedding, while we were getting ready on the Big Day! I can’t believe I bought a case of this stuff & we still have one almost 2 years later. It was lovely to break it open tonight to toast our 8th Valentine’s Day together? Time flies when you are having fun!
Oh! There were also Valentine’s involved. It’s still so fun to be able to shop in the “Husband” card section!
I hope your Valentine’s Day was super sweet & full of love!
Did you do anything fun to celebrate?
