After our day 2 fun out in the sun it was time to head out to dinner just off Paradise Island.
I wore my new high-low BCBG dress from Rue La La, paired with a little sparkle in an anthroplogie belt & Audrey Brooke flats – out for the occasion.
A little self timer photo in the room before our night out in Nassau.
For dinner we had reservations at The Poop Deck. An interesting name for a restaurant, but apparently it is one of the most iconic restaurants in the Bahamas, open for over 40 years.
There are two locations in Nassau, we ventured to the EastBay location which was right across the bridge from Paradise Island. It isn’t the most glamorous restaurant, but the word on the street is the food is fantastic, so we were excited to give it a try.
Upon first walking in the door you are greeted with an option of Poop Deck Shots.
Classy, I know – I just thought the names were hilarious.
We started out with the Andros Crab Cakes appetizer. They were small but delicious – the perfect size for an appetizer.
And what’s a meal in the Bahamas without a Kalik, or two?
We were out with a group of 14 other people for dinner – so a big cheers was in order.
For dinner, Charles & I got two entrees to share. Our first option was the Island Fried Shrimp – select shrimp seasoned with lime and a hint of pepper fried light and crispy paired with a side salad & coleslaw. The shrimp were so tasty, delicious & full of flavor.
We also shared the Grilled Atlantic Salmon – prepared the Bahamian way, with a side of Peas n’ rice and vegetables. It did not disappoint – so fresh & amazing. We loved it!
Everyone really enjoyed their meals – it was a great night out!

After dinner we took a massive van {for all 14 of us!} back to Paradise Island. I thought it was worth sharing that there were 6 mini flat-screens playing Whitney Houston videos {which was awesome!} during our drive. Crazy, right? Two of the TVs were placed on the sun visors above the driver & passenger seats and in the middle of the front dashboard! The driver told us there used to be more TVs throughout the car, it was the weirdest thing ever.
After dinner it was time to head back to play around Atlantis:
Which means silly photos…
a cocktail or two…
and a little Blackjack!
