Another beautiful day.
Another fun outing in the city.
Today, Charles & I met up with my brother & his girlfriend down at the South Street Spring Festival. This was our first time at this particular South Street event and I am so happy we went because we had a blast.
Charles & I biked down there to meet Michael & Joan and it was just the perfect weather to spend the day outside. A little hot at times, but I’m not complaining. I was able to wear shorts & get some sun on my legs so it was a good day!
There were SO MANY people out today, it was a little packed, but mainly in a fun way. South Street was closed down for the day so over 30 restaurants & bars were able to set up shop out on the street for everyone to enjoy.
We started off our Spring Festival journey with a beer. It was so nice walking around outside checking out the sights enjoying a cold beer. I heart springtime in the city.
We then decided to check out some of the food options – first we shared The Picnic Biscuit from Supper which was cold fried chicken, creamy corn relish & house pickles on a biscuit. It was gooooood.
Next up we had a Asian style BBQ pulled pork sandwich from Ela which was my favorite meal of the day – paired with my favorite spring/summer beer – a Summer Shandy. Lots of yum happening here.
While we were eating & drinking our way through the festival, we enjoyed the live music on the different streets. I really enjoyed the School of Rock kids {in the top picture below} they were so talented – the guitar player was amazing and the lead singer was so so good. It was fun to watch the kids put on an amazing show.
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo – Ole!

Hi Mom!
The Festival was held on South Street between 2nd & 8th Streets so we were able to walk down towards the Delaware River & check out the sights down there too. It was literally the most perfect day to enjoy a festival, I can’t get over how great the weather has been the past few days/weeks. We’ve had a lovely spring!
Just to let you know, I was mildly obsessed with the May Day pole. I think I took 100 pictures of it.
So pretty!
Fun sightings today also include: My new favorite children’s book. A word to all my pregnant friends/those already with kids, expect to see this book on your doorstep. Frickin’ hilarious. And this random ghost buster sign – I had to look up the meaning of Ghost Ridin’ Tha Whip – but now I consider myself properly informed on the topic.
And for anyone who was wondering – my outfit of the day {OOTD} included:
headband {just got this, i’m obsessed!}shorts/shoes/bag
