A few days ago, during a lovely and relaxing weekend down the shore, I had the opportunity to host a little coffee get together sponsored by Gevalia. The lovely folks at Gevalia hooked me up with some awesome coffee to try out and share with family and friends. Let me tell you, there is nothing better than enjoying a nice cup of coffee while taking in the ocean breeze and relaxing with the ones you love.
This was my first time trying out Gevalia coffee – I had seen it in the stores before, but I am usually so overwhelmed by all the different brands and types of coffee out there. So many choices, its so hard to even know what you are looking for! When this opportunity came about for me to try a new brand of coffee, I was excited to learn about the company and try something new!
A little bit about the Gevalia brand – Gevalia began brewing coffee in Gavle, Sweden in 1853, where traditional cast-iron roasting developed its distinctively rich, smooth taste that’s never bitter. The coffee is expertly made with carefully selected beans and ground extra-fine to produce a rich coffee experience.
For my get together, I picked up two coffee classic flavors for my guests to try out – Columbia & House Blend {decaf} – The Columbia medium, rich, bright roast got great reviews online and the House Blend medium/dark, robust & incredibly smooth smelled so good in the bag, I couldn’t wait to try it out. I would have loved to also try the Chocolate Raspberry and/or Pumpkin Spice coffee flavors as well, but my local store was out – next time! During my shopping trip I also found out Gevalia makes tea too! The Honey Ginseng Mint & Blackberry Spice are on the top of my list during my next tea run!
Fun Fact: This coffee is served at the Royal Court of Sweden!
Gevalia is a great pairing with any meal, but it is extra tasty with delicious desserts, specifically donuts! I now know from experience. It was so fun to enjoy a laid back morning down the shore, trying out some new coffee and spending quality time with friends.
Thanks Gevalia for a tasty morning!
