Today is all about Hickies!
No! not those kind of hickies – these kinda of Hickies:
Hickies are an elastic lacing system that replace traditional shoelaces – they let you easily slip in and out of your shoes while keeping them snug and secure. Hickies are designed to improve performance and comfort, adding both structure and flexibility to your footwear.
Hickies are made of high grade, duel-density elastic components meant to withstand the forces of various types of activities and return to their original state. They loosen and contract with your foot and adapt to the shape of your shoe.
Hickies adjust to any shoe size, from kids to grown-ups. As long as your shoe has eyelets, they will fit. They are elastic so they stretch out as far as your feet need them to, and they have memory so they return to their original size.
They also come in so many fun color options – 16 to be exact! I picked out the yellow green to go along with my running shoes and they match perfectly. There are also different ways to wear Hickies – for a tighter fit, a wider fit, a loop look and criss-cross for kids.
I have worn these all over for the past week – including workouts! I must say, I usually like my shoes super tight. I need to be able to feel like my shoes aren’t going anywhere – and these Hickies do the trick! Plus it’s nice not to worry about my shoes coming untied and the colors are lots of fun!

I have used something similar in the past (can’t recall the name, but it was elastic) but once you removed it, you couldn’t reuse it. These look reusable. I would love to try them and even if I don’t win, I just may buy some – they look pretty clever!

These sound great! I hate tying my shoes..I think it has something to do with longing for my velcro shoe days of elementary school. 🙂

Ahh I’d love to give these a try! I have been having some foot & ankle issues (apparently I’m getting arthritis, what?!) and my podiatrist suggested trying something other than shoelaces for my running sneakers. I’ve never heard of these, but they look awesome.

I love the way these look and they’d be useful for getting through airport security more quickly. Sometimes I wear my running shoes on the plane to save room in my suitcase.

I love this idea! Tying shoes is a big pain when I’m trying to get out the door with the dog and baby, and this would help a lot!
I am super lazy and would love not having to tie my shoes! They also look like they’d be great for kids shoes! Tying a 2 year old shoes while they are trying to run out the door is not the most fun thing to do.
Ingenious idea – love the idea that your laces won’t ever come untied again!
I just started using the Lock Laces and while they make it easier to get my shoes on/off I’ve noticed extra tightness over the top of my foot I don’t have a ton of control over – would love to try these and see how it all compares!

I want to win because even when my laces are tied, they are so long that the laces flop around and I think they’re untied! It is silly, but frustrating!

These would be perfect to wear when doing dog agility, because I always wear sneakers but do NOT have time to retie shoes if they come undone and can get hurt if I trip on laces!
