MM’s First Stitch Fix

Hello & Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend – I know I did!

Today I wanted to share with you my mother-in-law’s {also known as MM} first Stitch Fix. She follows my blog regularly and loved all the cute outfits I was getting in each of my Fix’s so she decided to try it out for herself. MM is in her 60’s, who works part-time and enjoys fun outfits for girls nights as well as date nights. She also goes on a ton of fun trips, one of which is coming up next week that she was hoping to get a new top or two to bring with her from this Fix.

Obviously when she told me she was ordering her first Fix the first thing that came out of my month was – “Can I come over and take photos for my blog?!” I swear, I am going through withdrawal not ordering my fixes once a month, but it doesn’t make sense for me right now, since I have a growing belly! So I was pumped when MM agreed to let me check out & share what she got in her first Stitch Fix – check it out:

MMs First Stitch Fix

41Hawthorn Lottie Pintuck Sleeveless Silk Top {$62}

I love the color of this top! Such a great shade of purple for sprint and summer! The silk material makes it really easy to dress up or down and I love the loose and flowy shape to it. It’s also a great top to pair a fun necklace with too – the style card does a great job of showing the tops versatility as well.

41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan {$48}

This cardigan is a great staple for any wardrobe – plus I love this great color! It reminds me of the cardigan I got {and kept!} from my last Stitch Fix. This cardigan is great with a tank and jeans for a relaxed and casual look or it can top off your office attire by being paired with a blouse and a skirt. I also love how the style card shows it being belted, looks really cute that was too. I just love the style and the color of the cardigan and think anyone would get a ton of use out of it!

Hourglass Lilly Yasmin Tribal Print Dress {$58}

This lightweight printed dress is a perfect go-to dress for the summer. I love the print and the wrap style of it too – I think there is a ton of different ways you can style it, plus the material is great because it doesn’t really wrinkle. The only downside to this dress was the fact that the shape was a little off. It was really long in the torso which caused the front of the dress to lay completely open. It just didn’t fit right and was a total bummer because we both loved it coming out of the box.

Under Skies Jolie Printed 3/4 Sleeve Blouse {$48}

When MM took this out of the box, I immediately thought she had received the same top I got {and kept!} from my Stitch Fix #6 – but it turned out to be the same pattern but different style. I think this printed blouse is awesome – its a quick and easy way to liven up any look. The intricate print is really pretty and I love the blue – another awesome piece to dress up or down – I especially love it paired with the white jeans, shows in the style card below!

Kole Designs Multi Textured Circles Necklace {$38}

This necklace is pretty cool, but it didn’t WOW us – it’s very delicate and I like the textured/hammered look. You can wear it as one long strand or double it up for a layered look. I know Stitch Fix offers some pretty awesome jewelry pieces, but I always request no-accessories because I would rather try out a new piece of clothing in my Fix, for just about the same price.

 So here is MM in her three favorite pieces from her first Stitch Fix -> the printed blouse, the cardigan wrap and the silk tank. I love how she paired all three with some white pants – perfect for the summer!

    I love all 3! The white pants make the colors pop beautifully!
    I also like that the pieces are ageless- not things you’d find in the “mom” department at a store!! I’d wear them and I’m 33!

    Oh I love it! #2 is my favorite!

    She looks so cute in all 3! If I had to pick one I’d pick outfit #1, but only by a narrow margin.

    I think you should keep all three pieces! All the colors pop with the white slacks and look beautiful – styles look awesome on you as well!

    Too bad about the dress. Because she looks so beautiful in all 3 outfits + the necklace. If the dress would fit too, she could keep the entire box and save 25%. I think MM looks really good in vibrant colors!

    They all look nice, but I vote for #3. It’s got such a lovely flowy look that pairs great with the white jeans.

    Love seeing that Stitch Fit works with older women. I may have to try them out!
