So far I’ve already shared with you what’s in my Labor & Delivery bag as well as what we are bringing in Baby’s Hospital Bag but today is all about what’s in my hospital bag {and what I packed for post-delivery}.
I know that the hospital is going to have the majority of what I will need after Baby Brinkley is born, but I really wanted to make sure I packed a little bit of home with me to make sure I am comfortable for a few days in recovery.
Check out what’s in my bag & let me know what you think!

1- I really REALLY love this Nursing Cardigan and know I am going to use it so much. I’m not sure what the visitor situation will be in the hospital, but it’s nice to have something in my bag I can throw over anything for some additional coverage.
2- I seriously can’t sleep without an eye mask and since baby & I might be sleeping odd hours in the beginning I wanted to make sure I packed this with me. Seriously, if you are in the market for a good eye mask, I suggest this one – love it!
3- My in-laws got me a really nice robe for Christmas and I love it – I always knew I would be bringing one with me in my hospital bag for added warmth & comfort.
4- My going home outfit is all about comfort – I packed some of my favorite {comfy!} leggings and some layering pieces. Since the weather has been all over the place lately – going from seriously cold winter chill to mild & spring-like – I’m not sure what the temperature will be when we get out, but I’ll be ready with some options.
5- I have found two different kids of Nursing Tanks {one / two} that I really love – both are super comfortable and have great snap options. They both go along with the nursing bra I have been loving for weeks now
6- I’ve also thrown in some more cheap socks {the same ones I brought for delivery} – I bought 3 pairs, $1 each! – and don’t really plan on bringing them home with me.
7- Some comfortable slippers are also a must for me – I treated myself to a new pair for Christmas and they make me happy.
8- A cute pair of {somewhat warm} pajamas with easy access for feeding – got these on sale on Black Friday & they are really comfy. I also enjoy the dark color, incase things are a little {ahem} messy. Again, these were cheap so if they don’t make it home with me, no love lost.
Also included in my Hospital Bag: More Gatorade & snacks, a towel and possibly a pillow?

Thoughts on my packing selection?
Anything I am forgetting? Anything I do/do not need?
Thanks so much for your help!

A Boppy (or whatever sort of nursing pillow you bought)! Trying to figure out bf’ing positions and holds was a little tricky in the beginning and I was so happy to have my Boppy with me to make it more comfortable, especially during those first few days when it was a little awkward.
Hi, I’m really excited for your big day! I love that you have a teal theme for your hospital bag…it’s a nice, soothing color. 🙂
Yay – home stretch! If you take a pillow make sure it does NOT have a white pillow case and get mistaken for a hospital pillow. Also, consider some pants that are loose around the middle in the event of a c-section you won’t want anything pressing against stitches/incision site.
Looks like you have all options covered! Loose PJ bottoms is a great idea, just in case of stitches!
I’m 39 weeks pregnant and have been following your journey along the way 🙂 Did you use most of the stuff in your hospital bags? Anything you would ditch or wish you had?
