Iced Tea + Margarita = Iced Teagarita

Its never too early in the morning to talk tequila.

And today I wanted to share with you a new twist on a classic favorite:

Jose Cuervo Iced Teagarita

What is an Iced Teagarita, you may ask? Well, it’s a fabulous cocktail that consists of classic lime flavored margarita, blended with Jose Cuervo Tequila and premium orange liqueur, then combined with refreshing iced tea.

I literally love everything involved in this drink.

And it was the perfect time for some taste testing this past weekend as we had family in town to celebrate two engagements in the family!

Jose Cuervo did an awesome job with their Iced Teagarita packaging – How cute is this “picnic basket” that they sent me to try out the new drink for myself?

I especially love the mason jars and the black & white paper straws! 

So a little more about Jose Cuervo Iced Teagarita – It’s half {classic lime} margarita, half iced tea and the most perfect summer drink ever. It’s light and refreshing, not too sweet and has a bit of a kick  (19.9 Proof / 9.95% ABV).

My mom and I are huge iced tea lovers, so clearly I had to share this drinking experience with her – we both agreed that this cocktail is delicious and will be buying it again – it’s the perfect drink to bring to any summer BBQ because it’s premixed and ready to serve. All you have to do it pour over ice and enjoy!

We tried the drink on it’s own at first and then decided to pluck some fresh mint leaves that I had growing in my backyard patio and it was a nice little addition of mint flavor to the mix!

Other awesome flavor combinations include – peaches, blackberries, raspberries, lemon, orange, lime – you can pretty much add any fruit or garnish to make this drink your own and to give it a little extra flavor kick {or to just make the drink look extra pretty!} The  Iced Teagarita is fantastic on it’s own but it’s really also a great base for creating your own unique flavor combination in a summer cocktail!
