This weekend Charles & I packed up Brooks & headed out to Johnson’s Farm! It’s so fun to experience everything with our sweet little baby in tow – this is his first Fall after all – plus he makes everything way more fun! So, like most new parents, we want to do all the fun fall themed things with him that we can – is it weird this gets me crazy excited for his first Christmas?! Plus everything is more fun when you get to see it through the eyes of a little one, even if that little one doesn’t really know what’s going on, it’s easy to see he had a blast!
This was actually MY first time at Johnson’s Corner Farm in New Jersey, but it will definitely not be my last. It was such a great little spot & we actually visited during one of their Fall Festival weekends – so they had live music, lots of food & activities for the kids {like moon bounces} – it was seriously packed but a lot of fun.
Aside from the hayride, I think Brooks’ favorite part of the way was waiting in line for the hayride. He had a blast people watching and chatting {and singing} away. It was a beautiful day to spend outside!
There is lots to do with little ones at Johnson’s Farm -> including a fun playground, corn maze & petting zoo full of barnyard animals. They also have a great market with lots of yummy food to eat & take home – but the main point of our trip to Johnson’s was to go on the hayride to pick some apples & see the pumpkin patch.
They had three different kinds of apples available for us to pick over the weekend -> granny smith, fuji & stanton. I love all things apples so it was fun to frolic around the orchard and take a million pictures of Brooks.
Seriously, that face.
Eyes closed, going for the {blind} apple grab.
I like your style, little man.
Brooks picked more leaves than pumpkins.
But he was pretty happy with what he accomplished.
After picking a few apples, we hopped back on the hayride to take us to a different part of the farm where we were able to check out the pumpkin patch. They hayride vehicles run continuously on the weekend so you can spend as much or as little time in the apples & with the pumpkins as you wish – which was perfect for us.
Brooks’ new favorite thing is to pull up on anything & everything – and the big pumpkins were perfect for that. He also enjoyed drumming the pumpkins and singing.
Maybe we have a future musician on our hands?
Rock on, little one.
Family selfie.
I love it.
#sorryimnotsorry that this is the longest post ever, but there were so many fun pictures I just had to share! And i’m not even done yet!
Here are some more photos from our day at Johnson’s Farm ->
Did I mention it was crazy packed? Because it was.
Such a gorgeous farm!
If you live close-by, or even somewhat close-by, Johnson’s Farm is totally worth the drive! The eats are yummy, its a ton of fun for adults and kids alike and just a great little spot all around. And they have lots to do throughout all the seasons {check out the photo below for more details!}
We will definitely be back! I can’t wait for next Fall {or this Spring!} when Brooks is toddling around! He’s going to love coming here!
