I hope everyone has been enjoying their holiday – I’ve been posting a lot on Instagram about all the holiday fun we have been having in PA, NJ, VA & DC – we’ve been all over the place this Christmas week but it’s been fun to see everyone!
Side Note: My Christmas dress is on super sale if you are interested {I picked it up in the store for $12! Win!}
Here’s a little recap of how we spent the last few days -> we started off Christmas Eve in NJ at Charles’ parents house. They have a party every year where the whole family gets together – so it was nice to see everyone and it was Brooks’ first time meeting a lot of his second cousins!
Obviously Christmas Eve festivities call for a baby in a bow tie. Duh.
Some of the girl cousins started a new tradition this year -> a Lipstick exchange. Everyone brings a favorite lipstick {around $25 worth} and we picked numbers and did a little yankee swap action. It was fun & a nice way try a new lip color. I ended up with a lovely Tarte Lipsurgence tint! Can’t wait to wear it!
Also, Christmas Eve = champagne punch. Yum!
Before long the party was over and it was time to head to bed to see if Santa would visit us!
We woke up Christmas morning to lots of presents and some new “Brinkley Plaid” pajamas! The color code of this pj’s are called Brinkley Plaid – which is our name {they come in other colors too & are on super sale & super comfy!!} So fun!
Christmas morning family photos
Brooks busted out his Christmas jammies too! I’m obsessed with his little two piece buffalo plaid pj set! So stinkin’ cute {and so on trend! ha!}
Then it was time for little man to rip into some presents!
This was such a fun age for a first christmas – he obviously doesn’t know what is going on in terms of presents & Santa but it was fun to watch him play with the paper & boxes!
And of course, he was very spoiled by everything!
How cute it this wooden personalized safari truck?
My SIL, Kate also surprised me with a sweet buffalo plaid shirt, which awesomely enough matched Brooks exactly! Triple twinning!
After a lovely Christmas morning in NJ we headed down to my parents house to spend the rest of the day in Virginia.
Needless to say, my parents {and whole family!} were pretty excited for Brooks to arrive!
We were also reunited with Jackson, who came down early to spend a few days in Virginia.
Little man was a little spoiled with all the presents under the tree, just for him!
One of his favorites would have to be his baby BMW – completely unnecessary, but completely awesome. He’s a little wobbly on this now but it’s going to be cruising around Fairmount like a boss in the Spring.
Another favorite thing under the tree would have to be the box {yes, the box} that his elephant bounce, stride & ride came in – which is going to be another fun toy to enjoy!
Another big gift was his new radio flyer stroll & ride. I love how cute he looks in it and he loves strolling around the neighborhood riding it! Such a fun toy & it was great to be able to enjoy it on the unseasonably warm Christmas Day we had in Virginia!
Brooks also made a appearance at Christmas dinner – he slept right through Thanksgiving dinner – and it was fun to watch him try some new foods {and throw them to the dog!}
A few more family photos to celebrate & commemorate Brook’s First Christmas.
I’m already so excited about next year! Christmas is so much more fun with a little one to enjoy the season with!

I’m glad you had a great Christmas! I’m almost 37 weeks pregnant now, so the best part of Christmas for me was that my baby girl didn’t give me any heartburn and I had enough energy to get through 6 Christmas stops in 2 days! I felt great, and we had a wonderful Christmas!
Looks like you had a great Christmas! Our little girl is only 4 months but I already can’t wait for next Christmas when she is a little older! How did you manage to make it to Virginia on Xmas day?! It seemed like you had a lot of stops in a short amount of time! You make it look so easy!
Having Brooks here to celebrate his first Christmas in NJ and Va was absolutely awesome! Brooks makes Christmas so much fun (and every day too)! Great photo recap!
