I feel like I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit when it comes to drinking water.
I used to be a water drinking machine. All day erryday. {sorry, couldn’t help it} And I feel like lately I’ve been blaming just about everything on my baby, but if you are a mom you know – those little ones take up all your time and energy! Sometimes I’m lucky if I have anything left for me at all at the end of the day!
I still carry around my 40 oz of H20 like it’s my job, but I know I’m not drinking as much of it as I should. And I can totally feel the difference on a day when I do drink enough and when I don’t.
So I was pretty inspired when I had the opportunity to try out DripDrop and really use the experience as a way to jumpstart my hydration routine! So today I wanted to share with you my tips for how I plan to keep hydrated!
1- Keep the water handy & drink! If it’s always in front of me, I drink more! So I try to keep my water bottle always within an arms reach & always full!
2- Mix it Up! Adding some fruit to myH20 {with my favorite Fruit Flavored water combinations} It changes up the flavor but keeps me drinking! Also I love how it tastes!
3- Incorporating more fruit and soups into my diet helps keep me hydrating without all that extra sipping. Check out these stats on how you can Eat your Water:
- 1 cup chicken noodle soup = 8 oz.
- 1 cup cooked sliced zucchini = 6 oz.
- 1 medium apple = 6 oz.
- 1 cup cantaloupe cubes = 5 oz.
- 1 cup watermelon balls = 5 oz.
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes = 5 oz.
- 1 small navel orange = 4 oz.
- 10 medium baby carrots = 3 oz.
- 1 cup raw broccoli florets = 2 oz.
4- This might sound crazy, but I love fun ice! I’m obsessed with crunchy ice & I love fun little ice molds {sure, most of them might be for cocktails, but who cares!} I swear I drink more water when the ice is fun!
5- Drink before meals. I try to make sure I have a glass of water 30-60 minutes before meals – it helps make sure I am on track with my water intake for the day but it also keeps me from completely stuffing my face if I’m starving! Win Win!
I’ve also been enjoying trying out DripDrop lately, especially when I am seriously lacking on my H20 intake – DripDrop is a simple cost-effective solution that empowers everyone to treat mild to moderate dehydration with a safe, medical grade solution. It’s also a great refueling drink after a workout! It comes in lemon & berry flavor options – I went with berry & it’s super yummy!
