Thanks for all the fun suggestions on what to add to my Hospital Bag from yesterday’s post! It’s a crazy sort of deja vu happening getting all the final pieces to the puzzle in place as we prepare for the arrival of “the new guy.”
I know Brooks is still so young – only 18 months – it’s such a fun + playful age! I love it! But I don’t know how much he really understands when we talk about baby brother. I ask him where the baby is and he points to my belly but that’s pretty much it! I am happy we are having these two so close together in age – don’t get me wrong, I’m fully aware it’s going to be a ton of work, but it’s going to be great for them in the long run. They are going to be {fingers crossed} besties and hopefully twins! Haha!
In an effort to help Brooks be a little more prepared for his brothers arrival I’ve been doing a little research on some good books we can read with him – before and after the newest little man gets here. We have #1 and #6 on the list below but I wanted to share with you some of my picks and see if you have any other suggestions for me! Would love to hear them!
Also – if you have more than one child, did you do the whole “gift from baby” at the hospital for your older one? If so, what did you get him/her? Again, Brooks is a little young to really remember or understand fully but I think it’s still a really sweet gesture – and something cute we can remind him he got when he met his brother for the first time! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

An oldie but goodie but we loved the Berenstain Bears “New Baby.” We gave it my son as a way of telling him I was pregnant (He was older – 6 at the time) It’s just such a cute book, as are all the Berenstain Bears books!
