So I figure today, on Labor Day, it was fitting to share that we are planning on welcoming our new little bundle into the world today {hopefully all goes according to plan – maybe Tuesday at the latest?}. We went back and forth on the to induce/not to induce decision I shared with you last week & after talking everything over with our doctor we decided to schedule the induction for – Labor Day!
Seems meant to be, right?
When I had my doctors appointment last week we did the whole stripping of the membranes thing {which was seriously SERIOUSLY painful} and we’ve had a little bit of action {I’ll spare you the details} since then but nothing worth going to the hospital over. I am 4 cm dilated, effaced, thinned, baby is locked and loaded and we are all just ready to go. I honestly feel like my body just needs that little extra kick to get things going.
I’ve been secretly crossing my fingers that since scheduling the induction, I would go into labor on my own, because I really wanted to experience that – maybe I just needed that mental knowledge of knowing it was scheduled, BUT that clearly hasn’t happened yet. It’s been really nice to have the date on the calendar & be able to organize and prepare everything, especially for Brooks.
While we are spending the next few days at the hospital soaking up all things brand new baby boy {after a *hopefully* smooth labor + delivery} I have a few posts scheduled this week + will be taking some time off to spend with the family after that!
I’ll be posting on Instagram + Facebook and will be back a bit next week to share how life is with two under two!
Wish us luck!

Good luck!!
I was due Sept 6 and I really wanted to have my baby on Labor Day. That didn’t happen and I had my LO 11 days early.
Good luck! I hope everything goes well.
We are all truly blessed to have a healthy baby come into the world today to love! So excited to be a Grandmother again!
