If you follow me on Instagram, over this past weekend you would have seen me participate in the JDRF One Walk in Newtown, PA.
I was excited to join in on a fun, athletic event – I just got cleared to workout but haven’t done too much except for lots and lots of walks {soaking up this gorgeous fall weather} and carrying around Brooks + Graham all day. That totally counts as exercise in my book!
But back to the walk! I was excited to join up with some local bloggers to participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation One Walk. I know a few people who are affected by Type 1 Diabetes, so it was nice to be able to raise some awareness and funds for the cause.
The lovely folks at JJ Cole Collections sponsored our team and hooked us up with some great gear. The littles were given these adorable Team bundleme hats, which are super warm and cozy.
Brooks also got hooked up with a toddler urban bundleme {in stealth}- which is awesome because we totally needed one! It was chilly in the morning of the walk, so having this was perfect because the quilted outer layer protects against wind {and rain} while the cozy inside layer adds some great warmth.
As you can see, Brooks was pretty warm and cozy.
Graham was rocking out in the original bundleme for infants – I love these things because you can use them with car seats, strollers, and joggers. They are wind + water resistant and really keep the kids warm. Like all baby things should be, they are also machine washable. Win.
Graham took a pretty killer nap during the walk, so obviously he was enjoying his little setup!
The walk started out at Bucks County Community College and took us behind the school through this gorgeous state park. It was the perfect day to spend in a park, enjoying the fresh air and taking in the sights of the beautiful changing leaves.
Seriously, I want to go back to this park to walk around another day because it was beautiful.
There were lots of people participating in the walk and it was really nice to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park.
Check out our set-up for the walk. Brooks, Graham and even Jackson came along for the ride.
Brooks stayed in the stroller enjoying the sights for most of the morning. He’s usually pretty happy just being outside and people watching.
We also had some family members join us on our team for the walk. Brooks was happy to escort his cousin along for the walk.
He was also really into holding hands while sitting in the stroller. It was seriously the cutest.
But by the end he was ready to RUN – and little man turned the walk into a race! Ha!
All in all it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning. I’m happy we were able to join in on the fun!
Thanks to our families who came out to join us on this beautiful day and to support the cause!
And a big internet <high five> to the rest of Team Bundleme!
And a big thanks to our lovely friends at JJ Cole Collections for sponsoring the team, donating to the cause and hooking us up with some warm + cozy winter gear!
What’s your favorite piece of winter gear for infants/toddlers?
Please share!
