I hope everyone had a very merry christmas! I’ll be sharing a little bit about our holiday weekend in tomorrow’s post but today I wanted to share with you a review of the new Polar A360 Fitness Tracker with wrist-based heart rate.
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to try out this tracker for the past few weeks – and I’ve been lucky enough to try out a few different brands + varieties – but this one is BY FAR my favorite!
This waterproof fitness tracker is the first to have both a wrist-based heart rate monitor and Polar personalized training guidance, as well 24/7 activity tracking. It even has smartwatch features like smart notifications and a color touchscreen. I’m pretty much obsessed with how it looks – there are a few different ways you can set up the screen, but this is my favorite, and the blue color filling up the numbers is one way of how I can see my progress for the day and how much farther I have to hit my goal.
The Polar A360 fitness tracker measures your activity, training, steps, calories and sleep patterns. It even gives you vibrating notifications about incoming calls, messages, social media updates and calendar events. It’s also easy to check your heart rate at a glance. It also tells you what you have to do to hit your goal – 40 minutes of jogging, 15 minutes of strength training..it speaks your workout language, whatever that may be!
This device is also awesome because you can pick different workouts for various training – walking, cycling, group exercise, running, strength training, swimming or other indoor. While you are selecting the type of working, the tracker is already working on finding your heart rate, so once you start, it’s good to go. It’s nice to have the heart rate monitor built in already and the large screen is great because you can see everything right on the watch, but you can also get more information when you pair with your computer or smartphone.
The easy touch screen is so easy to use and honestly, I’m a big fan of how it looks in general. I’d like to say it’s “work-out chic” but it really has been easy for me to wear everyday. It looks bigger in these pictures than it really is on my wrist – I’m a fan of big watches in general but I think this is a great size for most!
I’ve also found the strap is pretty superior to a lot of other fitness trackers. It’s got a snap function but also an additional clasp so it will totally catch it if it becomes loose. I’ve lost a few other trackers that have fallen off to easily, and this one seems to be set in a good space
