Two decades ago, Lamaze pioneered the idea of creating infant toys in conjunction with child development experts. Today, all Lamaze toys continue to lead parents and babies down a path of fun, healthy play and learning. It’s pretty much why they are some of our favorite baby toys over the years, especially the Lamaze infant toys – they inspire daily discoveries that encourage baby to grow and develop through two levels of play – delightful surprises that promote together-time between parent and baby, as well as activities that encourage baby to explore and learn on his/her own.
I was excited when the wonderful folks at Lamaze offered to send Graham a little care package. Baby #2 gets lots of hand me downs – so it was nice for him to have something fresh, shiny and new to enjoy!
Graham had the very hard job of trying out some new toys. Here’s how it all went down:
First up is the Lamaze Soft Chime Garden – and let me tell you, this thing is COOL! It is a little garden of flowers that has five smiling faces that light up, chime, and play songs at the touch of baby’s hand. These colorful flowers encourage baby to reach, tug, and bat, developing hand-eye coordination. And my favorite part is that there are three different modes of music to awaken baby’s auditory awareness. It also features crinkle, ribbons, and lots of fun textures for tactile stimulation, which is what Lamaze is really known for in my opinion. You can scoop this up for $28.99 on Amazon – makes a really great baby shower gift!
Graham loves the music that plays along with this – one of the modes you can put it on is that every time you or baby hits a flower, it makes a noise. I love the cause + effect of this toy. But it plays really fun music too. Another cool feature is that it has a strap on the bottom, which you can attach to a stroller or carseat so little one can go nuts on the go! Love it!
If this goes missing in the next few days – we will know who took it – Brooks is obsessed with the chimes in the flowers too!
Next up is the Lamaze Peek-A-Boo Forest Soft Book – which is something every little one needs in their life. It’s a interactive soft book, with a crinkly plush owl on the cover. The big flaps are easy for little fingers to cover and uncover and it features stimulating bright colors.
Each page features a fun peek-a-boo flap and your little one gets to learn about different animals in the forest. It’s a really sweet and fun little book that’s great to keep in your diaper bag or stroller. Retails for $15.99 on Amazon.
Graham’s final mission was to test out the Lamaze Freddie the Firefly. This is full of developmental features that capture baby’s imagination and stimulate the senses. Freddie features a peek-a-boo mirror, ladybug teether, squeaker, crinkly wings, jingle, and clacking rings. My favorite part is the Lamazelink which attaches to play mats, diaper bags, and strollers for on-the-go fun. Freddie sells for $15.99 on Amazon.
Graham particularly enjoys gnawing on Freddie. Ha.
I’ve been big fans of the Lamaze toys since the beginning with Brooks and it seems like they just keep getting better and better! Even at 2.5 Brooks still loves to explore these toys with his baby brother – got to love that!
How sweet are my two boys playing together?!
And because I’m getting very excited for the Memorial Day weekend ahead – and the fact that I’m headed to the beach for 3.5 weeks! Woohoo! I thought it would be fun to share the Lamaze Love.
I’ll pick one winner to win a new Lamaze toy of their choosing!

We had the peekaboo book for our older boy and it has mysteriously disappeared:) any of those toys would be a welcomed addition for our new little one!
The soft chime garden seems so cool! I’m expecting baby boy #2 I’m just about a month, it would be nice to have something NEW for him – as he’ll be using mostly hand-me-downs as well! 🙂
Those little books are the best – might need to grab one for our flight back to Philly next week!
Would love the chime garden for my 9 month old. She’s loves colors & sounds.
The garden chime looks awesome!
I have a 4.5 month old boy and I think he would love the chime garden. He has the Lamaze® Mortimer The Moose Plush Toy and he loves it!
My 8 month old baby girl would love Lamaze My First Fishbowl. Thanks for the chance!
Would love the peek a boo book! My son never got it, and we are hoping there’s a second little in our near future.
That soft chime garden! I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 month old 🙂
Freddie the firefly!
I’d love to try out Freddie the firefly for my 3rd little one (who has all hand me downs, haha).
Freddie the firefly is adorable and that would be my first pick for my newborn. I’ve always admired Lamaze toys for their bright colors and softness, and would love to have one for my LO. Thanks so much for offering this!
I can imagine my 2.5 year old and 9 months old play together by looking at that picture of brooks & graham with the soft chime garden.
Thanks for the chance.
I’d love to win the Lamaze Clip & Go Moose Mortimer
What fun toys for the boys – how awesome that Brooks shows Graham how to use them!
